RE: DAILY FOOTBALL CHALLENGE [17/01/2022] - ARE MANAGERS MAINLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF A TEAM?
The strategy in football is important, for this reason it is always the coach's responsibility, but sometimes the players can also be responsible for what happens in the team, from my point of view there is a balance of responsibilities, but to know this you have to make an analysis:
(1). Observe if the coach is making the right line-ups, see if the changes he makes are at the right time and how much confidence he has in his squad, as well as how he treats the players, as there must be a good relationship.
(2). If the players are committed and are giving the best of them that is observed and even the fans can notice it, so if the strategy is good we will see that the performance of the club will be good, in the opposite case if the coach's approaches are bad, the players although they strive will not perform at 100%.
The most unfortunate thing is that many times when there are clubs with injured players or players who are not committed to their clubs, these bad results or poor performance are criticised to the technical director, but this will depend on the confidence of the administrative and directive part of the club, as they are the ones who decide, sometimes they fire technicians or give them confidence and allow them to buy more players.
Again I repeat, although there is a balance between both cases, everything will depend on the atmosphere in the club and the patience of the board, they are the ones who decide whether or not to fire the coach, as there are cases of good results and equally the directors consider that a coach should no longer continue.
Great answer. It is great to find a balance between the two.
