Games in October 2020 of Mexico National football team and curious fact

At the beginning of October México National football team played 3 friendly matches. The first game was in Mexico, Guatemala was the opponent and Mexico team won with 3 goals before the first half ended. Henry Martin, Córdova and Orbelin Pineda scored in the game.

The second game was in Europe. Holland was the opponent and Mexico won with a goal of Raúl Jimenez. Raúl Jimenez plays as a forward in the #Wolverhampton Wanderers team (Premier League)
Then the last game was in Holland. The match was between Mexico versus Algeria. This game was the best for me. The final score was a two goal draw. Jesus Tecatito Corona and Diego Lainez scored in the game, Mexicans that play in Europe. Tecatito plays for #Oporto in Portugal and Lainez plays for Real #Betis but he hasn´t played in the last months.

The journalists in Mexico rated this tour games in a positive way for the team. We have to notice that Mexico is in CONCACAF then sometimes it is difficult to find great quality and challenges in the zone. The two principals opponents of México are United States and Costa Rica.

Actually the first game of this tour was going to be against Costa Rica but Coronavirus in Mexico is out of control and the leaders of Costa Rica preferred to cancel the game.

One of my past posts I wrote about the football history in #Mexico and I mentioned about European miners and the relation with the first games in Mexican fields. I like to share curious and cultural fact. The miners in the center of Mexico ate one special food that we call “Pastes”. It is a dough and in the center you can put meat or potato, maybe some vegetables. This kind of food was very simple and appropriate for the miners with the advantage that the form of the “paste” is ideal to eat with dirty hands because you can hold in the extreme.
