INTRODUCTION

I would like to create a team with two great attacking full-backs who are fast players and good crossers, and have a midfield of players who can dominate the game well.

Goalkeeper:

Manuel Neuer - He’s been the best goalkeeper of the game for a while now despite his recent decline. Not only is he a capable shot stopper and an all around incredible goalkeeper, he has the mindset and skill to contribute to the game almost like an extra defender or an 11th outfield player.

Left Back:

Roberto Carlos - His skills and abilities were absolutely phenomenal. With his rapid pace, he contributes greatly to the attacking game like a modern full-back should. His free kicks though are mind-boggling

Centre Back:

Virgil Van Dijk and Sergio Ramos - 2 defenders with very different styles of play that however could potentially be complementary. Love him or hate him, Sergio Ramos is a great aggressive defender who isn’t afraid to put himself on the line for the team, a defender any manager would want for their team. Van Dijk on the other hand is tall, agile and intelligent defender capable of pulling off many defensive strategies. Both defenders have decent passing, dribbling and shooting skills to add to the attacking game if required.

Right Back:

Gianluca Zambrotta: Similar to Roberto Carlos, Zambrotta is a prime example of the modern full-back utilizing his great pace, dribbling skills and crossing to add to the attacking game. Additionally, his ambidexterity and strength make him a versatile defender.

Center Midfielder:

Steven Gerrard and Zinedine Zidane: Zidane and Gerrard are both incredible passers and shooters. Zidane has the dribbling skills to contribute alot to the attacking game while Gerrard has the determination and strength to contribute defensively to the game.

Center Attacking Midfielder:

Ronaldinho - Ronaldinho was the complete attacker, able to run fast, shoot, pass but most importantly, was one of the best dribblers of all time. His dribbling was absolutely mesmerizing and make my dream team’s play style extremely interesting. In his prime, he was one of the most revered players in the world for his superhuman skills with the ball.

Left Winger:

Neymar - Despite certain antics on and off the field, Neymar is definitely one of the best players in this current generation behind Messi and Ronaldo. His mesmerizing skills with the ball would add a lot to the attacking game especially with his ability to draw out defenders and win space for his teammates with his skills.

Right Winger:

Lionel Messi - This choice was practically a no-brainer, he’s definitely one of the best players in this generation if not one of the best players ever. Not only is he an extremely fast dribbler and an incredible shooter, his creating abilities contribute alot to the attacking game. Messi is just one of those players who improves his team with him.

Striker:

Cristiano Ronaldo - Also a no-brainer in this position. Ronaldo is a player with a lot of pace and skill to make for an exciting game. However, Ronaldo is also an extremely hard-working forward and a powerful shooter which makes him a player any manager would want. I would love to see him play with Messi one day.

CONCLUSION
This my first XI team might not be the best in the globe but with the strenght and ability each of my players possess and sure my team will compete for any title in the world.
