It depends on how you define success and the context in which you use it.
I love this.
For me I would say it wasn’t a successful transfer. Because the main reason why they signed him was they taught he could help them win the champions league. Juventus before signing Ronaldo we’re already dominating the serie A. And copa italia, they wanted to add the champions league to the trophy 🏆 cabinet. But their plan backfired signing him even made things worse.
Great, comment. Your point of view is perfectly right and well understood. However, from your point ,you used the phrase "they think" which is a possibility. This i think making both things valid either he won or didn't win the champions league.
