It depends on how you define success and the context in which you use it. Ronaldo's time at Juventus was a mix of success and adversity, glory and disappointment, joy and sadness. On a personal level, Cristiano Ronaldo performed admirably, but using the club as a benchmark, he failed to meet the goals for which he was signed.

Let me give you some context for CR7's signing by Juventus.

Juventus made some high-priced signings, including Gonzalo Higuain, a centre-forward, for £81.00 million, Matthijs de Ligt, a centre-back, for £76.95 million, and Arthur, a central midfielder, for £64.80 million. The club required a global superstar to win the Champions League at the time. That's when Ronaldo entered the picture. The most expensive signing was Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo's move from Real Madrid to Juventus in 2018 cost the club 100 million euros ($117.90 million).

The club is hoping that Ronaldo will lead them to the elusive Champions League title while also increasing club revenue. When it came to revenue generation, Andrea Agnelli believed the club had reached its limit due to the constraints of playing in Italy. The club also wants Ronaldo to use his massive social media following to promote the Juventus football brand.

Did he succeed in his goals?

Partially. In total, he scored 101 goals in 134 games across all competitions.Which I think comparatively He won two league titles and one Coppa Italia. I'd like to point out that Ronaldo was not brought to Italy to win Serie A or the Coppa Italia. Juve had long demonstrated that they could do so with Carlos Tevez and Alvaro Morata, as well as Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic.

In conclusion,

Despite failing to win the Champions League, Ronaldo has made a significant contribution to rebranding Juventus as a football club. He is one of the world's most unique footballers. We are fortunate to live in this era to witness the extraordinary feats of one of the football god's sons.

I love this.

For me I would say it wasn’t a successful transfer. Because the main reason why they signed him was they taught he could help them win the champions league. Juventus before signing Ronaldo we’re already dominating the serie A. And copa italia, they wanted to add the champions league to the trophy 🏆 cabinet. But their plan backfired signing him even made things worse.

Great, comment. Your point of view is perfectly right and well understood. However, from your point ,you used the phrase "they think" which is a possibility. This i think making both things valid either he won or didn't win the champions league.

Thanks for the comment

You are definitely right, he was a success but not up to the expectation of many people or his previous younger self.

Sure. Thanks for passing by dear.

well one could argue for numerous reason about this question,,but what I know is Juventus brought Ronaldo in to help them win the Uefa Champions league, so to them, he might be a failure,,but to his achievement, I think Is a plus for him..He was a success to himself more than the club Juventus
