CONTEST.... THE UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT IN WORLD CUP...FRANCE VRS SENEGAL IN 2002 WORLD CUP

Hello steemians, I believe everyone is doing great. I'm very much grateful for @njaywan for initiating this great contest. Contest gives us the opportunity to express our talents very well in the game of football and remember some great moment in football.
World cup unarguably is the greatest football tournament and every player feels is the greatest achievement

World cup matches has produced a lot of great memories, the one I can't forget is the match between Senegal An France in 2002 world cup.
The France team having won the 1998 world cup after beating Brazil were coming into the tournament as the most favorite.
But to the surprise of the world, They were stunned by Senegal who was seen as one of the minors. I personally watched this match and I never had in mind Senegal can do such a magic. It was one of the best matches in the tournament.
They were all in Group A.
Now the Details of the match.
The match was played on 31st May 2002

The Senegalise got the game started and it was the French who were possessing the ball untill the 29th minute goal.

29 mins GOAL: France 0 - 1 Senegal Papa Bouba Diop scores for Senegal! France are behind. Diouf makes a monkey of the glacier quick Frank Leboeuf on the left wing and leaves him absolutely for dead. (No surprise there.) He crosses the ball and in the ensuing melee, Diop scoops the ball into the net after a dreadful mix-up between Peitit and Barthez. Magnificent. The Senegal players run across to the corner flag and do a scintillating dance routine around Diop's shirt. Good on them.

First half ended and still Senegal were leading. Football pundits across the world were thinking France will have a better options in the second half. But the Senegal team kept their composure and won by that lone goal.
The faces of the French supporters could clearly tell how disappointed they were.

the match ended with Senegal not having any corner in the game, which clearly shows how the French dominated the game. But the likes of Henry couldn't break the defense of the Senegal team.

It was Denmark and Senegal who qualified from the group and that was amazing to the game of football.
The Senegalese went ahead to the quarter final stage of the competition before they were eliminated by Turkey in extra time.

To me I've witnessed a lot of world cup matches but the one I think I can never forget is this match. It was just an amzing to watch.
