Today, after reading the topic of this competition, I remembered one of the different forms of marriage in our country which is taught in Social Science in my post graduation.
Our country India is a country with a population of about 1.4 billion, which is the largest population in the world. In our country, people of different castes, religions and races live their traditions and cultures openly.

One of these rare cultural traditions is the Jaunsari tradition of polyandry. This tradition is from a place called Jaunsar, a tribal dominated area of Dehradun district of Uttarakhand state of our country.

Jaunsari culture is one of the rare cultures that follows the practice of polyandry (a woman having more than one husband).

We had read in the history of Kauravas and Pandavas in the records of Maha Bharat period that five Pandava brothers were married to the same woman "Draupadi", hence it seems that this place represents the history of Pandava period.

First of all, it is important to know what is marriage and family in the polygamous Khasa tribe of Jaunsar-Bawar?
In fact, polyandry is a common form of marriage in Jaunsar-Bawar, where all brothers marry one wife or wives and all of them are their common husbands and hence the family is patriarchal. The eldest brother gets married and all the others become his husbands.

Jaunsari Tribe Dance and music are an integral part of Jaunsari culture. During festivals both men and women dance under the influence of folk music. These people perform Harul, Ghundiya Raso, Jhenta Raso, Jangbazi, Thode and many other folk dances. Fairs like Moroz and Bissu are organized which mark the harvesting period of their crops.

Women in Jaunsar always believe in cultural heritage. The main occupation of Jaunsari tribe is agriculture and animal husbandry, but they give more importance to agriculture, agriculture only helps in maintaining their livelihood.

The tradition of polyandry similar to that of Jaunsar Bawar of our country is prevalent in Nepal and some parts of China and also among Tibetans, in which two or more brothers are married to the same wife, and the wife is given equal "sexual" status with them. There is "access". It is associated with partial paternity, the cultural belief that a child can have more than one father.

Even the law of our country does not deny the unique and special tradition of polyandry marriage of this special tribe.
