What is your motivation and pressure in Steemit?"

Many people around the world finds it difficult to earn a living. It is a fact that the western world lives more comfortably that they do not bother about blogging to earn additional income. This is because there government have put in place several structures and systems that ensures that they are well taken care of. Imagine paying an unemployed citizen some stipend every month to take care of themselves and other necessities.

To some other countries, especially in Africa, South America and the middle East, the reverse is the case. No wonder we see them flocking toward steemit to earn a living. But how has it been?

Well this contest will help us delve in more to see our experience as bloggers.

If you have to be honest! How many hours do you spend on the Steemit platform every day?, What is your average income for the last 7 days? and, Does the amount you get match your expectations?

Well, I don't want to give a straight forward answer to this question. Because, I spend most of my time in a day in the steemit platform. It is as if I work full-time with extra hours on the platform. I am usually checking on my community regularly to ensure things are moving as expected. The only time I am away from steemit is when I have special programs to attend to like the gym, Christian meeting, or have a time off which I spend with my family members during our weekly one hour family worship or I am really sleeping. I can say that on the average, I spend 19 hours here on the blog. Sometimes when I am sleeping, I dream about steemit and I just wake up and pick up my phone.

But there are some days that I don't really spend much time especially if they are my ministry days. But I still come in and check at intervals. I must keep an eye glued as it were because I have come to love steemit that I know when someone removes my phone from my side while I am asleep. I will just wake up and bring the phone closer to me. I have had some misunderstandings with my husband because of this but we move forward because he understands how much steemit means to me.

My average income on steemit will be based on the withdrawable steem per week because that is what I regard as income. Others are investments that are helping me to earn more and as such, they are not regarded as income yet. What I mean is that, each week, my earnings are 50% to steem power and 50% to liquid steem and out of the 50% to liquid steem, it is only 50% of that amount that goes to my pocket. This means that on the whole, it is 25% of my weekly upvotes that I go home with as income.

This past 7 days. I have been able to earn is 93 liquid steem and 93 in steempower. But I was only able to take 46 steem home and that represents 13,800 naira in my currency.

Going by the rising high cost of living in my country, high inflation and high exchange rate of our currency to dollars, my earnings are not guaranteed and as such, nothing like expectations. I take what I earn and thank the Almighty because it is already said from the beginning that upvotes are not guaranteed, so I am grateful for the upvotes I am getting and still pray for more because our economy is seriously crumbling at the moment. Nothing is moving at all and the little earnings get swallowed up by the consistent high cost of living. Imagine buying 4kg of rice at 4000 naira, only to go back and it is sold now sold at 6500 just within 1 week interval and the news is that it will still go up. The ground is not greener on the other side of the coin either. So, I am even lucky to have earned that much.

What post/content themes do you really mastered and do you enjoy? and if you think your content is very interesting, how will you feel if your work doesn't get upvotes?

Well, in my introduction post, i said that I will like to learn more about cryptocurrency because by then, I knew only little about it. I have been able to overcome my initial fear of writing about crypto in the crypto academy community. It is now very interesting to write on. I am enjoying the learning. Even if it is not supported like I do experience some weeks, I will not stop even though i will not feel happy but I can't control the upvotes. I can only do my part which is to write.

There is no theme at all that I don't like here in the blog and that I haven't mastered. This is not to brag but to be truthful. The only thing is that, I sometimes do not have the time to write them and I can not write everything. I have to be modest and realistic so as to remain motivated and not wear myself out.

I sincerely do not feel happy if not supported but I am still motivated as I mentioned earlier. After all, support is not guaranteed. I am not the only one in the blog and sources of upvotes are limited. I am realistic in my expectations. I will rather keep posting and blogging. Like the holy scriptures said, I have to keep sowing my seeds of having active publications at all times, you never can tell which one will have a success. Whether this or that which I posted earlier. Imagine those days when steemcurstor01 will visit someone's blog and only leave a comment that they visited but there was no active post. I don't want that to happen even though they no longer drop such comments now because users have risen in numbers. They struggle to even support most active publications.

How do you motivate yourself to stay consistent on the Steemit platform for the long term.

My motivation is the steemit team with hearts of gold, along with my friends with hearts of gold who regularly visit my blog. What else can I say, than that they are my source of strength and hope.

Seeing that most users are also motivated with my consistency keeps me motivated.

My community is another driving force that gives me joy. How a little idea has turned into a striving community. The fact that members are happy with the team keeps me motivated.

Despite my earnings and high cost of living, i tell myself that nothing is easy at all, so I should continue to work hard. Besides, I am well aware that things will keep moving from bad to worst before the end comes as as the holy scriptures said at 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 13.

Additionally, since the exchange rate is high, earning in dollars would be a better way of benefitting from the high exchange rate.

When I also see other people's situation being worse than my own, I thank God for what I have and show gratefulness by not relenting.

There is a saying that goes this way There is no free launch even in Freetown. This means that for everything you want to do, you must make some sacrifices. That is where commitment and consistency comes in.

I also look past the struggle and see a bright future where everyone will not have to complain again.

What are the you strong reasons for choosing club 5050 or Club100 status?

My major reasons for choosing club5050 is to have some earnings to be used in taking care of myself and the family's needs.

Engaging in the platform requires that you buy data bundles, ensure there is battery in your phone, fix it when it gets spoiled, etc. All of these requires money.

Getting a job in my country is also not that easy, especially if you do not know someone at the top. So, being at club5050 helps me to earn as though I am working.

Additionally, I don't want to be hard pressed beyond movement that I will be suffering and smiling. I have to enjoy the fruit of my labor weekly and to be able to tell the good new to others who will ask, are you sure you can touch the money you are earning? Most of them will just be watching as I withdraw my weekly earnings and the next thing will be, please come and teach me how to blog. People are afraid of most online platforms because they had been seriously scammed in the past. So they are skeptical about the authenticity of anyone you tell them about.

Sometimes when I want to give up blogging, someone who had stopped blogging for wla long time will call me to ask if that blogging is still working and if I am still there. They will also want to know if they have money in their wallet to be able to withdraw and them come back to start blogging. I have to start preaching to about about how good steemit is and that it is going no where and with this, I am motivated to continue.

What valuable items have you bought or want to buy with your Steem earnings?

Steemit earnings have really helped me and a my family a lot.

It was instrumental in the building we erected. Even though it has not been completed, but it got to the level that we could packed in. To be sincere, if it wasn't for steemit, the building wouldn't have been possible and imagine having to cope with resentment, school fees and high cost of food items and other things in the family. Hmmm, it would have been too much that one would have considered returning to the village where you will not pay rent, but farm and that too would have been another nightmare that sends people to an early grave being that one is not ready for it.

I bought my present cooking gas, my refrigerator my kitchen cabinets and my industrial fan as well as office chairs with my steemit earnings.

It is my desire to either go for nursing school, or tailoring school professionally. Else, I will love to establish an offline sales outlet if non of the above work out. I am hoping to use the Money that I am expecting to accomplish them. But if it is not forthcoming, then I will have to save up from my steemit earnings but it will take longer time. But it will worth the wait.

Conclusion

Staying motivated while dealing with steemit pressures is just something that I have to continue with considering all the good things I have gotten from steemit.
