What do you think when you see someone throwing rubbish carelessly? and, in your country what is the form of punishment for people who deliberately throw rubbish carelessly? |

Anytime I see someone throwing rubbish carelessly, I do think the person doesn't know about the law in the place where he or she is throwing rubbish carelessly.
Seeing someone throwing rubbish carelessly makes me to think and take the person to be a dirty someone, who doesn't like seeing clean places.
In Nigeria, it is an offense for someone to throw rubbish carelessly. In most cities in Nigeria, it is boldly written on a signboard stating no dumping of dirt for people to be aware of such ugly acts.
The reason for writing such a statement is for people to stop throwing rubbish carelessly and avoid being punished for deliberately throwing rubbish carelessly.
Some of the punishments people for throwing rubbish carelessly in Nigeria are:
Paying a compulsory fine of 10,000Naira which is equivalent to 25 Steem to the State Waste Management Authority
Depending on the environment in some places if you are caught you will be asked to clean the place after which you may be punished.
You can be taken to the Community head for proper punishment which can be paying of fine or packing all the waste in the area.

Yes at my place waste is used to increase income to some of the people who are in the line of waste business. Green waste is the major source of income at my place. People are using green waste as fertilizer.
People are selling green waste to Farmers in my place. In my place, you can make money from selling green waste (fertilizer) to farmers as long as you can recycle waste.
Besides recycling green waste people are also generating income from selling leather, plastic containers, and iron to industries that buy and recycle them into useful things.

I manage my household properly so that it doesn't have a bad impact on the environment by putting all waste items inside a waste basket which I usually keep at the back of my house. It is a bit far from my house and my neighbor's house.
Whenever my waste bin basket is filled I ensure I dispose of it at the appropriate place that is authorized by the waste management authority to ensure that my household doesn't have a bad impact on the environment, I don't throw waste carelessly or allow my waste basket to start smelling before disposing of the waste inside.

Accumulation of large amounts of waste affects the comfort of people in my neighboring country by making the people feel uncomfortable in their country. During rainfall, it can affect their water, damage land, and even cause environmental hazards.
When there is a large amount of waste in a country board it will affect the health of the people living closer to the place by polluting their land, and water, making them feel uncomfortable due to the smelling environment.
When there is rainfall, the rain will wash some of the waste into the river, and the environment, and the same thing can happen during heavy windfall. It can make people fall sick. The truth is dirty environment causes more sickness than a clean environment.
Hello @josepha, When it comes to disposing waste carelessly, must people do it on purpose by ignoring the law and trying their luck, they feel lazy to burn trash or rather refuse to pay scavengers which is one of the easiest way to dispose waste.
Utilizing income from waste is one of the high paying business especially through the process of recycling. Good to know you dedicate your time in keeping your household clean by providing waste bin and disposing waste when necessary.

Es triste cuando vemos personas que no tienen conciencia y valores al momento de desechar su basura carecen de empatía y valores sobre el cuidado del ambiente y los espacios recreativos.

It is sad when we see people who do not have conscience and values when disposing of their garbage, they lack empathy and values about caring for the environment and recreational spaces.
