Steemit Engagement Challenge - S6W2: What do you do when you are Bored
It's a new week of Steemit Engagement Challenge (S6W2) and I am here to share my first participation for the week in Steem Indonesia Community. I found this week's topic (what do you do when you are bored) really interesting and easy to go with. There are several activities to carry out when one is bored.

Using the contest tips as guideline, let's get to know what causes boredom, how to overcome it and how to prevent the feeling of boredom to occur.
Being bored comes with lack of interest, uninspired, weary and impatient feelings.
Now, let's see what causes this feeling of boredom to come;
- Lack of motivation
- Attention deficit
- Withdrawal from people
- Low mood (over-thinking)
- Unhealthy food
- Lack of electricity and internet connection.
- Unsupportive environment, stress and tiredness causes boredom too.
All these factors mentioned above are some causes of boredom. Although, sometimes boredom comes naturally (with my experience).
Overcoming boredom is an easy thing for me because I always come up with several activities just to get rid of my boredom.
Engaging in Writing and Reading: This has been one of the ways I overcome boredom for years now. Whenever I am bored, I get to put my feelings/ emotions in words and also get to read other things that interest me.

Sleeping: whenever I get bored and try to use writing and reading to get rid of it. Most times, I become very tired at some point and tend to give myself some rest by sleeping.
Engaging in Cooking/ Baking Activities: cooking and baking activities kills my boredom very fast because I love doing them with passion.

Socialising: being social kills boredom as well. I like communicating with my friends by chatting and calling and also interact with steemit users to reduce the boredom when I have less work to do. Another way I get rid of boredom is through exploration.
Sometimes, boredom comes naturally but there are still ways in which it can be prevented.
- Stimulate your mind
- Take part in physical activities like; exercise, dancing, watch movies and listen to music
- Associate with people
- Communicate
- Stay positive and happy
- Give yourself time to relax / rest
- Eat healthy meals
- Read books.
Boredom connects with your mindset, so always have a positive thoughts by keeping your mind active and by engaging in fun activities. Get involve in good conversation and explore more because boredom is a universal thing / experience.

Being bored is a matter of attitude because as long as we are healthy and willing there are a thousand and one activities to do to kill boredom. Excellent participation. Blessings. Thanks for the invitation.

I like your blog, it's simple and straight to the point, thank you. There are people who nurture a state of boredom within themselves! So you see that one of them is extremely bored, disturbed, complaining and grumbling..we can prevent this depending on each one's case and cause of boredom
