My Proposals for the Steemit Development Incentive Program

Considering the fact that there are many people on Steemit who have a much better understanding of what is best for the platform, I did not plan to create such a post, but limit myself to a comment. However, since I posted the comment, I've already added to it twice. I'm afraid that if I continue to add to it, no one will read it.

Previous Proposals

I would not like to repeat myself, so I suggest you read my previous suggestions in this comment. The only thing I would like to touch on is why I think the STEEM blockchain needs to have its own NFT marketplace.

Recently, helping with Charity Auction No. 1, we encountered the problem of high fees when transferring NFT tokens. The STEEM blockchain may offer a solution to this issue. NFT is still a new trend and such a solution would potentially be attractive to many. In addition, there are many artists on the platform who would probably be interested in selling their works in the form of NFT. Therefore, it is desirable for the future marketplace to be part of the Steemit platform.

Blogging

To be honest, I'm fine with blogging here. I don't see any revolutionary improvements to be made here. There are many great little suggestions that other authors have already provided. It would be great if they were implemented, but in my opinion, these changes should not be the main focus. The allocated funds should be spent as efficiently as possible in order to give impetus to the growth of the platform.

The only thing that needs to be added is a visual editor. Experienced users don't need it, but newbies may encounter difficulties when publishing their first posts.

Allow me to put forward several ambitious proposals.

Trading Place for Users

Cryptocurrencies were conceived as an alternative to fiat money. However, over time, everyone came to terms with the fact that cryptocurrencies have become something more similar to securities. Most people buy them in order to sell them at a higher price.

However, STEEM has the potential to become an excellent means of payment, because it has one incredible advantage - the absence of commissions. Sitting and waiting for someone to understand this is not very promising. It is necessary to show it to the world.

We all remember the great story of buying a painting with STEEM, which was then transported by mail from Venezuela to Germany. There have been other cases of such purchases between users of the Steemit platform. It would be great to create such a place for trading, where anyone could sell their handicrafts, works of art or... cryptocurrency. Yes, why not, such a site can become a place for P2P trading.

Trade is always associated with fraud. But in our case, this issue is easily resolved. The trading venue must be part of the Steemit platform or it can be separate, but users must log in using their Steemit account. All authors value their reputation in Steemit, so they will not try to deceive anyone.

The future trading venue should also have an auction option.

Communication

Sometimes users need to communicate with each other and such communication goes beyond posts and comments. Most use Discord for this. Perhaps something like this should be integrated directly into the Steemit platform. Imagine you go to Steemit and see who is currently online on the platform and can correspond with them.

It can be a forum. The forum has the advantage that it is indexed by search engines, so it can be an additional source of new traffic. You can also find many solved questions on the forum. The forum creates the impression of a large, thriving community, which is an important part of any project. But the form is also the main topic and comments, so it would not differ much from Steemit. Therefore, something more like Discord is probably needed.

Polls

It would be nice if authors could conduct polls directly in their posts. Since we are a community, sometimes you need to know what the majority wants. It can be a module that is inserted into a post, or a template of a separate post in the form of a survey. In this case, readers could vote for one of the proposed options.

Shelter for Miners

Perhaps this proposal is too fantastic, but it may lead someone to some wise thought.

After the adventures of Ethereum, many miners do not know what to do next. The Steemit company could offer them a pool where they would receive STEEM or even better TRX for mining cryptocurrencies. At the same time, all mined cryptocurrencies would go directly to the pool's accounts. By offering miners a satisfactory rate of return now, the pool would accumulate a certain amount of cryptocurrencies in their wallets over time. Later, when the price of cryptocurrencies increases, you could sell these cryptocurrencies on the market and buy STEEM. This would help create demand for STEEM and increase its price. An increase in the price of STEEM will trigger many other positive processes.

In this case, there will always be a risk that the price of STEEM will increase more than the cryptocurrencies that were mined, and it will not be possible to sell them profitably :)
