The Debate (no.21); Success through talent and hardwork.
picture from my phone
I was in my shop this particular day, unfortunately one car broke down right in front of my shop. So the driver was looking For a mechanic to repair the car, One man came who claim to be mechanic. He started checking on what is wrong with the Car, from checking carburetor to the engine. He couldn’t figure out the exact problem so he had to call another mechanic who is specialized in the field.
The other mechanic came and within 10 sec, he touched something inside the engine, and the car started working perfectly. It's was like a miracle the second mechanic did, because it's didn't take time for him to figure out what is wrong with the car. He had work hard to learn how to operate on cars. Even if you have a talent as a mechanic, you'll still need hard work to succeed in this field, as we all know, knowledge is power.
That bring us to the main topic of today's contest titled: which one is better, hard work or talent. But first of all we need to define what hard work and talent really mean.
HARDWORK
When we talk about hard work, it's something we all to be a way of achieving success. Hard work means you need to put more effort and time in other to achieve it. Sometimes it's might takes several years to achieve success through hard work.
TALENT
Talent is something you can do at your own without learning it from anybody. And in this category, there's nothing like putting putting in time and effort. Some people are born with certain skills or abilities that give them an edge over others.
NOW THE BIG QUESTION IS, WHEN IT COMES TO ACHIEVING SUCCESS, WHICH ONE PLAY A SIGNIFICANT ROLE, HARDWORK OR TALENT?
In my own opinion, I can't really say it's hardworking or talent because in most cases, people with talent still need to work hard in other to achieve their dream. For example, my friend is naturally talented in fixing torchlight and repairing radio, that's a wonderful gift, but he still need to study or learn electrician in other to gain more knowledge which will help him in achieving his dream and becoming an electrician.
Sometimes, we all try as much as possible to do what we like or talented to do most, and through this talent we work harder in other to achieved our goals.
SUPPORT YOUR STANCE WITH EXAMPLES FROM VARIOUS FIELDS BRIEFLY |
---|
Now I will to mention this popular people who have achieved success through talent and hardwork. We all know about Bill Gates, Michael Phelps and Mozart. Let's take it one after the other.
MICHEAL PHELPS |
---|
Let's start with the field of sports. When talking about Olympic, you will likely to mention Micheal Phelps because he's talented and hardworking. when I was research about Michael Phelps I come to realize that he is the most decorated Olympian of all time. He's talented in a way that he has a natural gift for sport, the long arms and powerful lungs which make him different from other swimmers. At the same time, he worked incredibly hard to become a champion swimmer.
MOZART |
---|
In the field of music, I will like to use Mozart as an example. Mozart is one of the popular talented musician in history because he was born with a talent for music, but he also worked tirelessly to in other to hone his craft.
BILL GATE |
---|
In the field of business, I will like to use Bill Gate because he achieved his success through talent and hardwork. Bill Gates had a natural talent for understanding technology and business and at the same time he worked incredibly hard to build Microsoft into the company it is today, that's to show that talent and hardworking play on the same role.
VINCENT VAN GOGH |
---|
In the field of art, consider Vincent Van Gogh. From my research Van Gogh had a natural talent for painting, but he also worked tirelessly to improve his skills, and he succeeded.
I have seen an occasion where someone is talented in speaking good English but when it comes to writting it on paper, it a different thing, Do you think he will go far? same applies to being talented in writing but lack the knowledge of using the right format and markdown here on STEEMIT, we already know that the person will not likely to get support from steem curators.
CONCLUSION
All this people I mentioned make use of talent and hardwork to achieve their goals. So in my conclusion, I can't say either talent or hard work because the two is important in other to achieve success. I will rather say we should adopt talent and hardwork to stand a chance of reaching our goals. I hope I've been able to convince you not to confuse that talent and hardwork lead to success.

Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.
Love hearing from you dear @mhizta. You've really spent time highlighting the important of the both subject, Well I respect your opinion.
But in my own opinion, I'll say that hardwork beats talent with thick advantage. Without hardwork talent is worth nothing when taking of achieving success. Talent is just a head start without hardwork it will remain dump. But one can still succeed without being talent, rather he or she learn the skill necessary. Best luck dear friend 💚.
Yeah, understand your point of view and I respect that, but let me give you an example, have you heard of someone who is trying to learn a certain skill but along the way, the person felt discouraged because it's not what he or she is talented to do. I can give you an example of one musicial which her father sent her to business school but she had passion for music. Even after the school, she still end up on her music career.
