The Debate (no.41); Means of transportation; Land transportation is the best

The air transportation is a very good one. It has so many advantages. It is the fastest means of transportation. One can reach anywhere one is going in minutes or hours. It is safe and very convenient. It is secured because arm robbers won't attack on the way or even kidnappers but it also has its disadvantages. Not many people can afford it, the the ticket is always very expensive. It can land everywhere, because there are places without airports and even without good landing lands. It can't be bought by a common man as buying aircraft is very expensive. The possibility of being alive if it crashes is very slim The water transportation through the use of boats, ships, yatchs is also a good one because it is economical and accessible. It is safer as long as it is handled by a professional. One doesn't have to fuel it and it can carry large number of goods. The cost of maintenance is relatively low compared to air transportation but it also has its disadvantages amongst which are: it is extremely slow, if any accident happens, if the passengers cannot swim, they are likely to get drown. It is difficult to track while in transit. It is very risky during the rainy season when the ocean is high. My best means of transportation is the land transportation. This is through the use of cars, trains, buses, bicycles, trucks, motorcycles, tricycles, even animals.

Why do I chose land transport?
• Land transport is the most affordable and most accessible means of transportation. The society or a nation is made up of different classes of people. The very wealthy, the middle class and the common class. The fare for land transportation is affordable enough to accommodate even the common man to go anywhere he wants to and to transport his goods too. A common man who wants to transport his goods from one city to the other or his farm products from the village to the city can do that due to the affordability of the fare. Also, a middle class man can purchase a car, motorcycle or even bicycle with the little money he has but this is not so for other means of transportation. Even a second hand jet is very expensive compared to a second hand car or bicycle or tricycle.

• A car, motorcycle, tricycle can ply even small roads or paths. An aeroplane cannot land in some places but this is not so for cars and other means of land transport. The owner can drive it to his house even if it's in the bush unlike other means of transportation. With just a little money, the owner can buy fuel which will last for some hours.

• It can be used to make quick money through commercial driving, door to door selling of goods, delivery etc. With your car, you can make money daily, weekly or monthly as it is also very economical.

• It is very fast and can cover long distances with loads in hours. It can also take many passengers depending on the sizes and it is easy to maintain and to repair. It is easy to trace if stolen and in cases of accidents, there is prone to be survivors.

To me, this is the best means of transportation because I'm also taking the common man into consideration as other means of transportation do not favour the common man in terms of affordability. Tho land transportation has other disadvantages like kidnapping cases happening or armed robbery, accidents, bad roads, etc but the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
