Merry Christmas, dear friends. We are already in the 5th week of the season and just a week to go for the season to end and another starts. The word climate has been at the center of recent talks of recent and this plays a major role in our present-day seasons, be it winter and summer, or dey dry and rainy seasons. Be relaxed and enjoy my entry.

Summer Season vs Winter Season, which one is your favorite season & why?

I will be using the rainy and dry seasons while making my post as these are the two major seasons in my country Nigeria. The Rainy season has always been my preferred season over time and given the fewer adverse effects it comes with despite the discomfort some of its activities may bring.

Unlike the dry season that comes with a lot of dust and harmattan, the poise health challenges me. During the harmattan, I battle with keeping my feet oiled as I keep having painful breakages. These breakages are because of the dryness of the back foot and sometimes bleeding.

Therefore, I find so much comfort in the rainy seasons which not only come with a calm and restful condition but also with a less air-disease-infected environment.

Tell us about the advantages of both seasons or your favorite season.

The advantages of both the dry and rainy seasons can be viewed from different perspectives.

The dry season comes in two different phases. We have the first phase that brings so much heat to us from the hot climate of the day. The second brings a cold feeling to us which we call the harmattan. This harmattan can be likened to that of winter.

During the harmattan period, dry-cleaned clothes are seen to be ready within a few minutes given the dry atmospheric moisture.

Issues concerning our hygiene tend to be a little enhanced because there are little stains and dirt within and even when it occurs from the dust in the air, a little wash gets the cloth ready almost immediately.

In the same case, because people sweat less from their sweat pores, there are fewer unhygienic concerns. Therefore, people need to work during this period which earns them more income and also gives them warmth.

Those in the construction area also find it suitable for their work activities. Since rain wouldn't wash away their materials, it serves them the best time to maximize their activities.

Moreso, the rainy season is a time when we see farmers happy. They plant within the start of the season which makes it a better time for their crops to do well.

So much talk about hotness isn't there as the rains help to calm the scorching heat of the day.

Tell us about the disadvantages of both seasons or your favorite season

Dry seasons or the harmattan come with many impurities in the air that cause waves of common airborne diseases that affect us, particularly the eyes where we see inflammation. there conjunctiva.

The rainy seasons come we natural mishaps where flooding destroys both human and material things. This has become a reoccurring thing for my country this time.

Due to the poor condition of our roads, we find it difficult to navigate our roads which are water ladden. Also, Constructing some of these roads is capital-intensive due to the soil topography that is susceptible to erosion.
