Trump Is A Democrat!steemCreated with Sketch.

Admitted: that's a bit of a hyperbole. What's not hyperbolic at all, is to say that the Democratic party's establishment prefers Trump over Sanders. They'd rather have four more years with a Republican POTUS that deal with a progressive president. They prefer authoritarianism, leaning into fascism, over democratic socialism, and they've made it official.

In yesterday's post I already referred to a New York Times article discussing how dozens of Democratic superdelegates oppose nominating Sanders if he doesn't get a majority of the delegates in the first round; in interviews they openly admit they'll do anything to steal the nomination away from the candidate who gets the most votes. Not everyone will be able to read that article because it requires you to subscribe to the fake-newspaper, so here's a Newsweek article about the NYT article: DOZENS OF DEMOCRATIC SUPERDELEGATES OPPOSE NOMINATING SANDERS IF HE FALLS SHORT OF MAJORITY DELEGATES, REPORT SAYS

This article follows after all running candidates on the debate stage in Nevada, with the exception of Bernie Sanders, said as much. This is outrageous and should get your blood boiling. All of us who know a little bit how politics work are not surprised; progressive voices have always been suppressed, the democracy is structured in a way to give maximum protection to the status quo. Voter suppression is real and always aimed against the poor, the working class and minorities; they deliberately make it hard to even vote for all those groups. Working people can't take a day off to vote, or worse, spend hours in a caucus. Families with children can't afford a nanny to watch their kids while they're taking care of their democratic responsibilities. In poor and predominantly colored neighborhoods more and more places to vote are being closed, forcing those people to travel, which often they can't afford. Democrats make it worse by forcing people to register as voters; right now if you haven't done that yet, say goodbye to your chance to vote in New York for example, illustrating they hold on to ridiculous deadlines as well. Why do you think it's always such a struggle to realize a decent voter turnout? It's because of these, and many more structures that are designed to prevent any real change from happening; people who are accustomed to vote, who are already registered vote every year, but it's hard if you're new to this rigged game.

For decades voters are left with the feeling that voting doesn't make a difference, elections don't change anything but the face on TV telling you that real change is impossible, dangerous even. It's out in the open that the Republican party practices voter suppression against minorities and the working poor, but Democrats have always criticized that. They've even gone so far as to complain about Trump winning the 2016 elections when Clinton clearly got the majority of the votes. For years all Democrats, including the currently running candidates and the interviewed superdelegates, have said every opportunity they got that in a real democracy Clinton would now be America's first female president. For years they've advocated for "one person, one vote." And now they openly denounce that, denounce democracy and denounce the people who surmounted all the obstacles and voted; they openly admit that your vote does not count. And the way they openly plan to do it is bewilderingly stupid as well. Let me explain.

If Sanders has a plurality of the votes and delegates come the Democratic Convention this summer, but not an absolute majority of over 50%, they plan to give the nomination to another candidate, a so called "centrist" or "moderate" candidate. They try to rationalize and justify this anti-democratic move by adding up the delegates earned by all the moderates; if that total exceeds Bernie's delegates, so they explain, the voters have clearly indicated a preference for a moderate candidate over the one progressive candidate. Get it? If for example Biden, Klobuchar, Buttigieg and Bloomberg get more than 50% of the delegates by adding them all up, it would be perfectly reasonable to nominate a candidate who represents moderate (i.e. unchanging) policies. This is ridiculous for several reasons, one of them being that voters don't vote on policies alone, another being that with many of these moderates, Bernie is the voters' second or third choice. But the most important reason, the one that gives away the party elites' motivations completely, I'll highlight here for you.

The Democratic party could, if their theory were true, prevent losing face and irreparably damaging the party and democracy itself, by simply avoiding a contested convention by negotiating among themselves. The moderate candidates are perfectly allowed and capable of coming together and decide among themselves who will carry the moderate flag. The most likely candidate in that camp would be Joe Biden, so I'll use him in this example. If they were serious about stopping Trump, if they seriously think Sanders would be defeated by Trump and believe that a moderate candidate really has a much better chance against the incumbent, all moderates but Biden could drop out of the race right now. In their theory, which is false and they know it, all their followers would rally behind Biden if they were to drop out. They know this is not how the real world works, and that's the only reason why all these candidates, none of whom have a chance to get a plurality of the delegates, are still in this race; it's to hang on by their fingertips, just to make it to the convention, so they can steal the nomination behind closed doors instead of testing their stupid theory in practice and in the open. Really, this is the most sorry bunch of hypocrite two-faced dimwits I've ever had the displeasure of getting to know. If they steal the nomination this way, Trump will eat whatever candidate emerges alive in the general elections, he'll win with two hands tied behind his back; they'll have served him his second term on a silver plate.

Really is good to know that. Little by little we are going meet more people in This block chain.. we need to build a big comunity fron South America... I'll follow you ..

I have felt for a long time that the DNC will do everything they can to prevent having Sanders as their nominee but in the end I don't think it really matters which one of them emerges as the nominee because Trump will defeat any of them, I think, in exactly the same way as 2016.

Imagine the internal rifts that will be created if they do, in fact, appear to have screwed Bernie again though... this will perhaps create an internal war to expose how corrupt the nomination process is.

I share your opinion IF anyone else than Sanders becomes the Democratic nominee; Trump will run circles around them all the time. However, Bernie is the real deal. He's the one candidate with a populist message, just like Trump, only without the lying and the cheating. It'll be hard, but Bernie can win.

That's one thing I appreciate about Bernie as well even though I disagree with his politics. He IS the real deal and except for a few moments like when he immediately supported Hilldog, I think that he is speaking what he truly believes even if it is unpopular and it is very refreshing to see truth in politics instead of speeches that mean nothing and were written by a team of writers.

Unfortunately, just like Ron Paul, Bernie is not part of the political machine and I didn't think he would ever be allowed to be the nominee. It's a pity that the fix is in so much but I suppose that is the nature of politics, probably globally.

How is socialism not authoritarianism?

You can have socialism under an authoritarian regime, just like you can have capitalism under an authoritarian regime. Or do you still believe that Mussolini and Hitler were socialists. Democracy and dictatorship reside along a whole other axis than socialism and capitalism.

When you say capitalism, do you mean cronyism, corporatism, fascism, etc, etc, etc, many different things mixed into one, as opposed to pure free markets which does not exist completely? I like free markets but we do not have 100% free markets. Hitler took the guns. Stalin took the guns. Mao took the guns. Dick Cheney was trying to take the guns. Are you a fan of democracy? I encourage people to protest Trump and to tell Trump to do what we want Trump to do. I can talk all day about things that I want Trump to do. I can probably tell you ten different things that I want Trump to do. For example, Trump sometimes tries to get federal government to do things, to spend money. I would be telling Trump that we want government to shrink. Especially as the 2019 Novel Corona Virus is spreading. We want to drain the swamp.
