Poor Kids And White KidssteemCreated with Sketch.

That title makes no sense, I know. So why is it okay for the Democratic front-runner, an old white man who aspires to become the next president of the United States, the one perhaps to replace the current racist in the White House, to make such a nonsensical statement?

During a speech in the Iowa primaries, Joe Biden raised eyebrows when he said that "poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids." In one of the debates, when asked about what he would do to repair the legacy of 300 years of slavery, the results of which black people still suffer today, he gave a long answer that boiled down to blaming black people's parenting skills. He also blamed black kids for bringing their problems from home to school, and said that the teachers need assistance in dealing with those black kids' problems, you know, the problems caused by their black parents' lack of parenting skills. Back in the 1970s he said: "I'll be damned if I feel responsible for what happened 300 years ago." These kind of answers should be disqualifying for any candidate and especially for a Democratic one.

The "poor kids are as bright as white kids" can be perceived as just another of Biden's many gaffes, but that would be a mistake; this man has a long history of backing proposals that go directly against the interest of black, and indeed poor people of all colors. The votes from older black people in the southern states launched Biden's come-back in the primary elections, and that's something I just cannot wrap my mind around. The man is a racist, there's just no two ways about it. Kamala Harris confronted him with his stance against busing to racially integrate schools in the 1970s, but that was the only occasion he was confronted with this as far as I'm aware; it seems to be "not done" within the Democratic establishment to link Democrats to racism in the public square, and that silence seems to have worked quite well for Biden in this election cycle.

At a fundraiser on Tuesday, former Vice President Joe Biden pulled a Joe Biden, stirring up controversy after speaking off the cuff about his fond memories of working alongside segregationist senators, and telling wealthy donors they have nothing to fear from his presidency.

It's truly baffling to think that anyone would vote for this man; South Carolina was the first time in many attempts over 30 years that he has won a single state, and immediately the entire Democratic establishment was ready to coronate him as their candidate. They apparently think it's okay to run their own racist against the incumbent racist... It is all so transparent; the Democrats don't want to win against Trump, they want to win against Sanders.
