Introduction

The study of living things is called biology and people that study biology are call biologist. These people try to understand the natural world, environment and habitants a species can survive on. As Humans we try to find the secret behind life, we always ask ourselves the WH questions and end up getting nothing.

So in other to tackle this challenge, mankind developed a Stragedy that could study living things and each strategy have their course of concentration. Today, I'll show you the most applied course under biology and I hope the course your studying or like to embark on will fall under it. Without wasting much of your time, let's get started ⭐

Subdivisions Of Biology

The study of biology are divided in numerous ways, each field of research analyze data from other sciences, such as chemistry,Geology and physics. For example, the study of bioluminescence [light produced by insect(firefiles)] are under the study of biochemistry.

At times, biologists choose to focus on several Field due to the similarities, for example Zoology is the study of animals and Botany is the study of plants, if a person finds interest in them. Let's dive into the different fields of work, shall we?

Microbiology

Microbiology focuses on the study of microscopic organisms like bacteria, protists and archaea. This field of biology can also be broken into sub-division, often identified by certain microbes, for example, Virology is the study of viruses and Exobiology is the study of exterrestrial Beings(life outside earth).

No-one knows the exact estimate of microscopic organisms currently on Earth, it's said that the number of microbes outweighs the total animals And plants that ever lived. With the help of microbiology, we could identify more and more of these microscopic organisms.

Biochemistry

Biochemistry focuses on the study of chemical reactions that brings about life. A combination of understanding molecular fields of biochemistry and Genetics is the most efficient way to grasp how life is possible and how the internal environment of living things works.

The biochemist in our world today has find answers to some troublesome questions that have been asked for years. To put it simple, this field is needed for the deeper understanding of life.

Genetics

The passing down of genes from parents to offsprings is the process that ensure life existence. Genetics is a field of bipolar that concentrates on the study of genetic materials like Chromosomes and DNA. This sector is a crucial in biology and play a role in living things as most genetic material exists in the form of DNA.

With the application of modern technology, it's easy for someone to trace his/her genetic makeup and identify their relatives and with newer inventions. It's easy for scientists to unlock more discoveries.

Ecology

Ecology is the study of relationship between the environment and living things (organisms) that live within it. As ecology deals with the environment and living things, it comprises of different subject combination namely, Geology, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

An ecologist studies the influence of an ecosystem to the species living there and if there's an issue regarding that system, he/she will come up with solution to tackle that problem.

Conclusion
