Greetings steemians, welcome to the season 4 engagement challenge. Hope we all came prepared to engage even more . I today bring to you guys my entry on this amazing topic Traditional Retail Shopping propose by Steem entrepreneur for this week's engagement .

Thinking of what I could go purchase in the local market, I finally decided I was going to prepare something special this weekends, so I visit a local retail shopping center in my area by name. Dakar Market. this market is found in Douala which is the economic capital of Cameron.

Happy And Doing Transactions In Dakar Market.

So today I decided to take a tour at the Dakar Market, it's a weekend and I decide go purchase some things I will be using to prepare a special weekend meal because my parents are visiting and so I want to cook for them something traditional.

At Dakar Market, your will find all variety of food stuffs and other tools in different varieties commonly used in our daily life. The market is one of the biggest market in centre town and only market where you will find all variety of foodstuffs.

Douala is the economic capital of Cameroon and biggest commercial city in Cameroon. All business persons wishing to buy some particular items will only fine it here. And one good thing about is that the prices are so moderate.

It was really a pleasure going down to the market myself after a short while to get the details of the local retails and also do some purchase. I was so surprised the prices of items I bought last time have risen in a short while.

Bargaining is been a serious issue for me since I don't like to spend too much time in the market. But I had to persist today and bargains the prices with the retailers in a number of places before finally purchasing some items.

After all it was a great experience as tho there is increase inflation, some retailers have not escalate the prices that much as it was in other places. The people I purchase from were very kind and we discuss a lot about the current market and some even go further to explain to me the reasons for price hikes.

From the previous mention I said I have to do shopping for the weekend, so from the items your see above I was able to purchase a few of them which I now display.

I was able to purchase some green spices, crayfish, Maggi, oil and the rest as you see above. Below is a life of my total purchase and there prices in both local currency and steem value.

Reasons Why I Enjoy Shopping At Traditional Retail.

I enjoy shopping at the local retails for many reasons. first the location is not far off from my residence, so I can quickly rush to the market to do my purchase, Secondly the items I request are not readily available at the supermarket here .

Also the gap between the rich and the poor is limit as you can easily get chip products in the local retails than at the supermarket . all this numerous reasons make me want to rush first to the traditional market than any other.

In conclusion shopping at the traditional retail was great as I was able to meet and interact with retailers, bargain price and ask a lot of questions about the current state of the economy from experience business persons.

And finally I enjoy carrying out shopping out there by myself and it was a fun activity for me. Hope you enjoy reading.
