I will ponder on the raw cashew nuts trading business as the business review in my city.

Review of Raw Cashew Nuts Business in Sampa-Ghana

Location of the business

Cashew is a natural resource which has many use cases such as making oil, fruit juice and snacks. But due to insufficient cashew processing companies in my city most entrepreneurs in my city are much interested in the cashew buying business.
The business minded local cashew buyers buy the cashew nuts from the cashew farmers in kilograms from all angles of the city, more especially at the joints near the cashew farms, whiles other renowned cashew buying companies buy tons of the raw cashew nuts from the local cashew buyers and export them.

The local buyers later gather their purchased cashew nuts in sacks and then sell them to the buying companies ,with a profit rate of Gh0.5 (50 pesewas) on each kilogram sold, thus a profit equivalent to 0.2 steem on every kilogram as a profit to the seller.

In my city Sampa-Ghana,1kg of cashew nuts is purchased at a price of Gh¢6 which is equivalent to 2 steem.
An average Cashew nuts sack is 88kg and currently it cost Gh¢528 which is equivalent to 18 SBD.

To startup as a local cashew nuts buyer, you will need about Gh¢3,202 (108 SBD) excluding the cost of your weighing scale, shop and other expenses.

A Cashew nuts sack has no fixed kilograms, so far as the sack can contain the nuts. Let's take 98 kilograms of a cashew sack as a case study. A 98kg of cashew nuts sack will be multiplied by the profit per kg, thus 0.2 steem multipled 98kg equals to 19.6 (Gh¢49)

Most of these companies are Asian and European countries such as India, China and Vietnam companies.

The trading of raw cashew nuts is very vibrant in my city, due to the crop's availability and the profit that entrepreneurs and companies gain from the business.
