En este sentido, la ciudad de Ⓗⓘⓖⓤⓔⓡⓞⓣⓔ, está ubicada a dos horas de la ciudad Capital Caracas - Venezuela, y es una región costera de nuestro país, dónde el turismo debería tener un papel importante, mas no ha sido impulsado, por el gobierno regional ni estatal.
Somos un pueblo muy rico por su cultura y el carisma de sus habitantes, pero no hemos sido tomados en cuenta por los gobernantes para ubicarlos en la plataforma nacional o internacional. No obstante, tenemos muchas playas para el disfrute de los visitantes de nuestra región, pero como no se ha invertido en el sector turismo se está dejando de aprovechar, al máximo estos recursos naturales que fueran de gran beneficio para todos los habitantes y para la economía.
En este sentido, solo la inversión la realizan es cuando llega la temporada alta o vacacional y este es el error, porque el resultado como consecuencia que impacta a la comunidad que reside acá es el alto precio de los productos, medicamentos, comestibles, de la construcción, del hidrocarburos, etc.
Los pocos comercios que hay en nuestra ciudad son muy costosos, y tienen un monopolio con los precio, además los impuestos municipales son muy elevados, también afecta la economía de comercio paralelo que es un detonante de alza de precio.
La mayor cantidad de comercio en nuestra ciudad son lugares de expendio de licores, aquí es donde se va la mayor constribuccion del gobierno municipal.
Por último, contamos con más de 8 playas y una isla muy hermosa llamada Isla de la Tortuga, está última está en proyecto pero aún no hay una ejecución de la misma.

It's unfortunate that the government does not take full advantage of the beauty of the beaches in your city as a tourist destination, even though the existence of tourist areas has the potential to bring economic value and produce tourism services. We know more or less about the City of Caracas as a center of economic and political power. This big city also has a wealth of beautiful tourism. As you said, the restoration and development of the tourism sector is important as one of the original income generators for the region. @pastorjosuer, sin duda higuerote tiene playas muy hermosas, y aunque los gobiernos ni regionales y municipales han invertido en su infraestructura turística.
Sin embargo las playas se la pasan abarrotada de persona, imagínate si tuvieran una buena infraestructura, sería muy bueno para la economía local y regional.
Como dices los mayores contribuyentes son las licorerías, los impuestos son muy altos aunque no llegan a la población.
Me imagino lo duro qué debe ser para los pobladores tener que soportar los altos precios de los bienes y servicios cuándo hay temporada.

Ciertamente Higuerote tiene unas playas increíbles y es un lugar hermano, lo conocí hace algunos años, por Trabajo y fue en temporada alta, se veía muy limpio y bonito, cómo me pareció increíble decidí llevar a mi familia, unos meses después y ciertamente era otra cosa estaba muy abandonada, y me dió tristeza.
Espero de verdad que sus gobernantes puedan mantenerla en óptimas condiciones siempre ese sin duda incrementaría el Turismo en esa región.

I have always thought of Venezuela as a very beautiful nation with clean and nice cities and I wasn't wrong about that.
But, It is quite painful that the government is not taking total advantage of the beautiful beaches in your city which could serve as a tourist center which inturn would lead to potential increase in economic and tourism services.

It is so aching to hear that the government has taken for granted the unique resources your area contains. Seeing that your area contains over 8 beaches, deserves the attention and support of the government. It is not the best to have areas that enjoy business monopoly since it brings about unimproved product quality and price inflation at any time. I have also noticed (not only in your case) that the government are always quick to label taxes on citizens whereas they do little or nothing to help their community. It is so bad, i pray that your community quickly realize that they should invest in these natural resources and bring massive growth, do not wait on the government.
