You have made an excellent post. In a few words you have described the marketing chain and the advantages it can have for the local producer and consumer.

The local consumer can obtain good quality products at a better cost and that will make money flow throughout the community.

Also, I read that you are an example of local consumption, not only for the nutritional bars (I want to try one, hahaha) but for valuing and using the photographic paper produced in your town.
