Steemit Engagement Challenge - S7W1 | Economic-diary game January Saturday 14,2023: A Shopping Day Out.
Dear Friends,
How's your day going, I trust you have a wonderful weekend, mine is fantastic 😍 and today I want to share with you my economic activities for yesterday Saturday 14 January 2023. It was a hectic day though, well this is how Saturdays usually turned out for me, because I have to shop, go to the market, cook, and help my kids with their homework, so yesterday wasn't an exception. Let me tell you in detail how it went.
I woke up early, after a brief discussion with my dear hubby, I drafted a list of what is needed in the house, then I prepared spaghetti for breakfast, after eating I went to the POS outlet to withdraw some cash I'll be using for the day. From there I went to a supermarket where I shopped for the necessary things I lack at home.
EFG MART Uyo
I bought toiletries and some beverages and snacks, below is the list of some of the things I bought in the supermarket:
ITEMS | Amount (in NGN /STEEMS) |
---|---|
Babies wipes | NGN1000/8.3Steems |
Toothpaste | 2pcs 1240/10.3steems |
Eva soap | 1pkt 1500/12.5 |
Sugar | 500/4Steems |
Biscuits | 1100/9steems etc |
I bought goods worth NGN 15750 which are approximately 131Steems with the current rate of steem at 120 Naira.
I came back from the supermarket in the afternoon, feeling tired 😩 so I freshen up to be refreshed. My hubby bought a plate of fried rice and chicken in food affairs for me, and I enjoyed it. I drank coke after eating.
my plate of rice = 1,700/14Steems
At Itam Market
I helped my kids out with their homework, and also took care of my baby before I went to my seamstress to take measurements of my dress I also bought some foodstuff in Itam Market. I bought cereals and things to cook afang soup. I bought goods worth 18,000 thousand nairas which are approximately 150steems.
I came back home tired, I freshen up and cook the afang soup, and that's what I ate as dinner before I retired for the day. These were my activities for yesterday, truly we can't do without money, and spending 💰 I'll like my friends @eliany @udyliciouz and @josepha to take part in this contest. Thank you ❤️
This afang soup looks delicious. I will love to have a taste of it.😁. Your day was filled with activities, I can imagine how I ised to feel when I return from itam market. You are really a supper woman despite being a nursing mother, you were also involved in all this activities just for a day. I wish you success in your entry.
Aww I'm blushing! Thank you so much for your wonderful commendation, I do appreciate 💕
Money... money... money
Wherever we go we contribute to the economy whether we like it or not.
How I wish it was still the days when a bread cost 1 STEEM in South Africa. Now it is 7 STEEM.
I don't know about you but my grocery basket is getting smaller with each visit to the shop.
Oh my goodness! Cost of living is over high in Nigeria, I mean everything is over cost even the edible vegetables, but at the same time I'm not hoping for things to be normalize again because my mom told me that there's never a time in history which the price of a particular commodity rise and then return to the former price after sometime. I just pray that God should continue to sustain us come what may.
Your mom is so right! Prices increase but never decrease to what they were. And that goes for everything, cars, houses, fuel, food, medications, and the list goes on.
Absolutely! Thank you for your wonderful contribution. I hope you enjoyed your new environment!
Today I can breath for the first time. We are almost done unpacking and at least we now also have fibre connection and no longer loadshedding. Yippee!

I appreciate your warm commendations ❤️ thank you @harferri bro
Indeed, being a mother is full of responsibility, especially when your children are still young, which is the main reason you had to go shopping and even carry the items you bought on your head. Best of luck to you.
