Review of Uning Homestay and Camping
This holiday is truly beautiful and will be remembered forever. Our family can enjoy a holiday in harmony with nature. We chose to go on a camping-style holiday with the family in Takengon.
There are many places that provide camping in Takengon. One of them is Uning Homestay and Camping. We chose Uning Homestay and Camping which is located in Uning village, Pegasing District, Central Aceh Regency.
Uning Homestay and Camping provides accommodation facilities in the form of scout-style houses or rooms and tents. We chose a scout style tent for our camping. We built this tent on the bank of the famous Peusangan river.
There are 5 (five) tents that we rent for five families. The price for renting this tent is relatively cheap. The price is IDR 150,000 for one night. There are no other fees such as entrance and parking fees. Wood is also provided for campfires and places to grill food such as places to grill satay or grill fish, chicken or goat.
The place is very spacious and very suitable for you as a family or a village. On the night we stayed, 17 Hiace bus guests arrived to stay there. Apparently a group of village officials from one sub-district in Aceh Besar. They have rented rooms so they are full.
This place is on the edge of the Peusangan river which flows to the Peusangan hydropower plant in the Bies and Angkup areas. The owner of this Homestay made an artificial pool for a comfortable and safe bathing place. The water that goes to this large pool flows through a small river which was also made by the Homestay owner.
At the water entrance from the Peusangan river, a filter is installed so that the water will be clean from rubbish. The water of the Peusangan river is indeed clean and clear. Apart from that, the water also feels cold. It is very suitable for you and your family to bathe.
The Peusangan River at Uning Homestay is a white water rafting route. It is not surprising that white water rafting tourists pass by on this river. This adds excitement for us. Every day many residents bathe in the Homestay's artificial pool. They are charged entrance tickets for motorbikes and cars.
At night we took advantage of lighting a campfire and cooking some food by grilling it. We enjoyed it very much. Towards dawn, the weather was very cold and pierced my heart. Even though blankets and beds were provided in the tent, we were forced to add blankets or use jackets to ward off the cold.
Our experience was very beautiful and comfortable camping at Uning Homestay and Camping. I recommend this Homestay for those of you who want to camp in Takengon. I guarantee you will be addicted. Please try.
