In my growing up, there were couple of tv programs of fantasy characters but I was never much attracted to them. I always loved soft characters and that was missing in them. In the 90s were Shaktimaan, Chandrakanta, Vikram Vetaal and He Man that we normally saw on television and Superman in movies, there were not many of these characters at that time. Later on in 2001 a movie called Shrek was released and somehow I felt in love with the character of Shrek.
Who is your all-time favorite fantasy character?
Since then my all time favorite character has been Shrek, he is an ugly looking ogre but yet when you see him, you find him very lovable. Shrek and his wife character Fiona, both of them made an adorable pair. Their love story is adorable, like the Cinderella one. Fiona is a beautiful princess but she has been cursed and every night she becomes an Ogre. She could only break the spell if she would kiss a prince charming. Shrek is supposed to do that job, but during night time when Fiona takes the form of Ogre and Shrek finds out that eventually he falls in love with her. Shrek looks very powerful and mighty and has lots of powers but at the same time he has a very kind heart and always wants to take care of Fiona. That's what I love the most about this character. He is loving and protective.
This is an old picture, when I visted Madam Tusaauds in London and there I saw my favorite character and gave a tight hug.

Do you ever think if you get those powers, how would you utilise them?
Shrek's power was his extraordinary mighty size, he could save his kingdom with that power, he rescued princess Fiona and fought many enemies. If I get such powers I would utilize them to protect the weaker ones. I would use it against those who harm our environment, against those who are into corruption and on those who use wrong power on the weaker ones. With that kind of physical power, may be I can put all these enemies in to place. Physical harm is a biggest threat that one feels. So if I have that kind of physical power I can use it on all such people who keep doing wrong deeds without feeling remorse about it.
Do you believe power brings responsibility
Absolutely, with great powers come great responsibility and that's where half the world is getting messed up because they do not know how to use the power and in the bargain they use their power in all wrong ways and create a havoc. Whatever kind of power one has, along with that one must have the sanity to use that power. Not everyone has it and for the ones who have it, they should feel privileged and use it in the right manner for the better development of the society. It's where easy to misuse the power, because when you have the authority you are in control of many things and you may not be answerable so it's very easy to become egoistic and make wrong decisions.
People look up to those who have power, so the one who has it must feel very responsible with it because they are setting examples with their actions for everyone around them. Whatever they'll do people down the line will copy them, so setting good examples for them is very important
