Seasons greetings to you great Steemians. I'm so happy to be part of this contest to share my view concerning my way to stay balanced during stress. This can be discuss below:

What do you do to stay balanced in times of stress?

In our daily routine, we normally pass through stress and this stress is caused by work load. This might be in our offices, labour, jobs, even as a student.

I can remember during my high school, i was faced with stress due to the fact that our lecturer gave us an assignment which should be submitted the next day by 12:00 noon via email.

The assignment involve creating an Email address and sending the assignment via email to his mail. Now nearly the entire class of 80 students don't have an email address and the assignment must be submitted at the given time.

I was having a laptop as well as one of my course mate in a class of 80. The students had to divide in two, i had 35 students with me. The stress was much because i had to collect their data such as names as i went back home to start creating accounts for them using their names. I had to record both the email address and the password for over 35 students.

Immediately i finished creating those emails, i started posting the assignment using individual emails to the lecturer's mail. Before i finished creating and posting those mails, it was 3:30am Nigerian time.

To stay balanced, i had to take a walk outside my environment for over 30 minutes and i tried to stretched my body to relief myself from the stress. After the short walking, i went straight to the river to take my baths as you can see on my picture above.

Give three main reasons behind our stress?

The following are my major three reasons behind our stress:

  1. Money
  2. Achievement
  3. Food

I will be explaining the above three points below

Money

We all know that money is the major point of all our stress. We engaged in doing tedious jobs and displeased ourselves just to get money. Looked at what i passed through in creating and sending of emails just to get money. This is because one can not do without money and money is very important in all areas of life. Here i was equally stressing myself to see how i can capture the finger print of pupils in primary schools. This took a long time because they were kids and they need directives.

I still remembered when we were still in school during our finals, we were all hoping and wishing to graduate and put on this uniform. Being mobilized for NYSC was a great achievement in my life and family. In my local village, many families hadn't seen or reach this level in life, so all my stressed going to school was to become a graduate and make a difference in life. This was the reason of having sleepless nights back then in school.

Food

People stress just to get good food to eat but sometimes even after the stress, you can't even get the cash to eat good food! This period of exchange of the old Naira note to the new Naira Note in my country Nigeria, it's not easy for one to have access to his/her money.

The citizens were told to deposit all the old naira notes to the banks on or before 31st of January 2023. We all obeyed the authority and do so but there were no new notes to disbursed. This has brought serious hunger among the citizens. Throughout my yesterday, i was on queue struggling to collect my own money from the bank. The stress was too much so i had to go back home without any cash. Reaching the house there were no means for feeding so i had to suck garri and started drinking. This was how i safe myself from that hunger.

Do you think now we should take this problem seriously? If so, then describe why?

The way to stay balanced during the time of stress should be taken very serious in life, as we employ means on how we can reduce our stress in other to stay fit and balanced. If we do not create time to relieve ourselves from stress, we might become victim of stress and it can keep us down for days.

I discovered that whenever I'm stress, the speed of doing the job reduces likewise the quality of the job. On this note, whenever you are stressed up just engage yourself with any of the activities below:

Go for a walk, swimming, judging etc. This will release the stress and make you to become free and relieved.

Conclusion

If you have taken time to read through this article, you would have discovered the major ways to control stress before now. However, i advise that you take a walk, swimming, and judging to reduce stress.

The best thing about Your post is that it gives us such valuable insight on how to stay balanced and take personal responsibility for our own well-being during times of stress. As someone who works long hours and often feels the pressures of everyday life, I can absolutely relate to this post.

Being aware of your triggers and knowing which activities help you to relax can be a great way to de-stress and create balance in your life. Developing mindfulness techniques like yoga or journaling can provide effective coping mechanisms – even just making sure you get enough sleep!

Overall, Your post really hit home with me and I am sure many others too. It's quiet reminder that we don't have to give in to stress, and that with some self-care we can find balance in times of distress. So thank you Bro for this uplifting piece of writing – it truly is a breath of fresh air!

@fabiha, you are welcome. Thanks for those points you have equally contributed in terms of having balance when stress up. I think sleep is one good point but you know that we don't just sleep but first relax before the sleep takes you on aware. To become released from stress when relaxing, you don't need to start pressing your phone, Reading of newspapers, watching of film etc. What you have to do it to relax. Thanks for this great point.
