I see disability as a condition in one's life and not as a weakness. It is a condition that makes a person's life look different. Some people who are disabled are born the way they are, which to me disability is not about what someone cannot do, but it is about finding an alternative means to express strength, creativity, and ability.

I have seen many disabled people who are doing much better in life. To this, I will go further to say that disability is a reminder for us to know that every person has his or her own unique capacity, and with the right acceptance and support they can live fully and contribute meaningfully to society the same way a none disability person is contributing.

Which disability is more challenging? Physical or mental!

Physical disability is more challenging because it is well-known to people and it affects someone's independence and mobility in daily tasks. Although as the world is advancing towards technology, the barrier of physical disability can be managed. However, it is still the most challenging because it is visible and not invisible like mental disability.

The problem with mental disability is stigmatisation, lack of treatment, and emotional pain, which people might not know how you're suffering silently. Mental disability is more complex to treat, unlike physical disability, which can be managed with artificial technology.

How can we encourage those who are going through a disability? Explain!

We can encourage those who are going through a disability in the following ways:

  • By accepting and respecting them in such a way that we give them equal treatment, not with pity.

  • By supporting and encouraging them with kind words and also giving a listening ear to them

  • By granting them the opportunity to education, social participation, and work.

  • By educating society to fight stigma.

Hello.

It's incredible to see people with disabilities who can cope better than people without disabilities.
I have great admiration for these people who, in the face of adversity, manage to adapt better to the circumstances that life throws at them.

I remember riding the bus home and seeing people sitting and communicating using hand signals. At first, they seemed very normal because they dress very well, but that way of communicating really shocked me.

Now that there is so much technology, maybe a device will be invented that can reproduce what mute people can't say.

I would like to learn sign language so I can communicate with mute people. I think the challenge will be how to learn to relate to different beings.

Nice post, my friend. 😀

This disabled should be granted opportunity to engage in all social activities like everyone, so that they don't feel isolated.
