RE: SEC17/W2| While making decisions, what do you prefer to follow: heart or mind?
But if the decision is regarding any of my family matters or any woman or child, then I have to keep in mind the voice coming from my heart, and take the decision keeping that voice in mind.
Oh yeah, I totally get this. When it's about family, emotions kick in big time. I remember when my sister wanted to pursue art instead of a more stable career. My mind said stability, but my heart couldn't ignore her passion. So, we found a middle ground.
I don't think so. It is my firm belief that we should listen to both the heart and mind while taking decisions, because if a person only listens to his mind then there will be absolutely no emotions in that decision.
You are right. My experience taught me that too. Once, I focused only on logic in a tough decision at work, ignoring how it might affect my team emotionally. It created tension and hurt morale. Balancing both is key.
I always have only one suggestion to the youth that no matter how much he studies and becomes a rich man, he should keep his inner humanity alive, he should not hesitate in helping the poor, the helpless and the needy.
This reminds me of my grandfather's advice. He used to say, "No matter where life takes you, never forget your roots." He lived by that, always helping others even when he didn't have much. It's not about wealth, it's about kindness.
Good luck
