Steem engagement challenge-s7/w5|My way of maintaining balance during stressful times.
Hi, world, it's exciting to know that we are created to live well, have a good time, and enjoy life but unfortunately, most times I find myself being so stressed instead of perfect rest and happiness. I appreciate the steemit platform and the entire steemit blog for the initiative of the engagement challenge which greatly helped us to know and learn from each other as we engage and know each other more.
Stress: simply refers to a state of severe tiredness, stress is a burden taken by an individual due to too much work, thinking, and other so many factors that affect it. There are different types of stress which are; Mental stress, emotional and normal stress, the mental stress is a situation whereby, an individual thinks and thinks so much about things or problems, mental stress could also occur as a result of overreading while the normal stress is a very normal type of stress whereby, a task might be too much for an individual and at long last would get too tired and would need to relax.
What do you do to stay balanced in times of stress?
When being stressed at work and at home with much work, I first of all get something to eat, after that, I watch a movie. Watching a movie makes an individual relaxed and it feels so relaxing when watching movies most times, Watch movies and sleep off because of the tiredness in me.
But most often, whenever I am stressed both mentally and otherwise, the next thing i think of Is to sleep, and whenever I sleep and wake up I always feel refreshed especially when I take another round of bath, infact I want to be clear and advice that, each Time we are under stress, the next thing to think of is to sleep because It would help alot.
Give three main reasons behind our stress.
- Overwork
When the word stress is been pronounced, people tend to take their minds directly to a situation of being overworked. The normal situation of saying someone is stressed is when the person has overworked himself and become so weak and strengthless. Take for instance, let's say I go for a laboring job as a woman for a whole day, the way of my behavior would be as though I have been messlessly beaten somewhere and therefore, one of thee main reasons behind our stress is most times overworking which leads to serious stress and that Is why people who does some jobs believes so much in drug because the drug won't make them feel the stress much while doing the job.
- Overthinking/reading.
A lot of us have tasted the stress of overthinking or reading and it is also one of the reasons behind our stress. When an individual thinks in any position or angle he is, it would cause him stress and possibly hypertension. Some people think while standing, sitting, eating, working, and even while in the bed, and then they find It hard to sleep.
They are opened to mental stress which is always a result of over thinking and also reading especially student.When a student spends much time reading, it also leads to serious stress. Lastly, a student should read for at least two hours and rest and not keep reading until the whole thing is not entry again.
- Fear
I don't know but I have experienced a situation where fear caused serious stress to me. When I was age 10, I had this fear of the unknown, just like that, I become so afraid of some things especially when someone die and other unnecessary fear which I know it was a childish spirit controlling me but at that time, the stress I was going through was an emotional stress that was causing me no rest of mind because of fear. So, with my experience of fear, I think it's a reason behind my stress too since it led to emotional stress.
Do you think now we should take this problem seriously? If so, then describe why?
Yes of course, the problem of being stressed should be taken very serious because I had a lot of people who lost their lives because of stress and if there could be a way of giving awareness to people about the results of being too stressed up which I know would give them that consciousness of being careful. People feel that there is something to enjoy in this world aside from your life, "health is wealth" so we should be conscious, careful and safe from stress no matter what happens a man needs rest.

Hi @dave-hanny! I absolutely loved your post about the importance of taking our stress seriously. Your points are valid - being too stressed can lead to dire consequences if we don't find ways to release and balance it out.
You make a great point in talking about how overworking is one of the main causes of stress. It's so easy to fall into the mindset of 'I need to do more, more, more...' to get ahead but building breaks into our routine and taking time for ourselves is essential in helping us stay focused and productive while alleviating some of that overwhelming stress.

If you have such problems on the streets, it is worth buying pepper spray. Times are very dangerous now. It's the same in Poland, especially in the evenings. Great post.
