How To Make
You'll need Rice, Coconut Milk and Salt. Wash rice and cook it. When rice is ok, add some salt into Coconut Milk according to your Preference. Then add it to rice. And stir it well. Some people cook the Rice Using Coconut milk. And it take more Milk than this method.White rice and Red Rice
But it's more tasty. When the mixture starts to get a bit hard, put it on a plate and make it flat until you get it to the Thickness you Prefer. We usually place a Piece of Banana Leaf over the plate. It gives Milk Rice a good Odor and taste.
How to Make Chille Paste
Actually it's a Onion +Chillie paste. We Call it "Lunu Miris". You need to chop some Onion. Then add Chillie Pieces. You gotta add Salt and Lime according to the taste. Some people add Tomatoes instead of Lime. That's not good. Then you gotta mix altogether. If you can use Mortar and Pestle, you can make this more tastier.

Milk Rice is made in Every part of Sri Lanka. But There are some Changes in Recipe. As an Example, When considering the Northern Part of the Country, they add Jaggery into Milk Rice. Sometimes they use Cow's milk instead of Coconut Milk too.
Milk Rice is a Breakfast dish and there is no special Period of time to make. Usually we make 3-4 times per month in our home. So, it's very normal dish for us. Milk Rice is a Compulsory dish for Breakfast in Special Events such as New Year Celebration, Wedding, Birthday Celebrations etc.
My mother can cook Milk Rice very well. So, sometimes she gets orders to Prepare Milk Rice for Special Occasions. My mother would never let the customer down.
The most important meal of the day is Breakfast. And the most famous Breakfast dish in Sri Lanka is "Milk Rice". There are so many YouTube Videos showing how to make Milk Rice. So, I hope you try at least once at home. It's worth it..
