I am very happy to participate in this become a hero contest organized by @belenguerra for our Geography community @worldgeography. There are many environmental hazards that is affecting us in the world. Many of them are natural and man-made. Although, it's effect are harmful. But, there are mitigating factors to adopt to checkmate their effects and improve the landscape.

Introduction.

Aba, Abia state, Nigeria is a major commercial hub in the whole country. She have a lot of business centers and market places with millions of peoples moving all around.

Despite, many commercial activities and many handicrafts produced in Here like shoes, bags, clothes etc. There are many environmental challenges that are facing Aba constantly. It may be because of poor waste management that stemmed from the lack of a regular garbage disposal, which means that trash piles up in the streets from the many markets that dot the city.

Waste Management problems have been tried to be solved through the Federal and State Government agencies. But, the problems still exist, and have not been solved.

Due to these ugly incidences, socio-economic activities are seriously affected. Our health is affected too. Nothing is free from this problems.

Currently, we have raised to take up actions to help ourselves to reduce all these environmental problems and improve our health and beauty of our environment.

There is a reconstruction of the roads projects ongoing, first there are drains constructed and the existing ones are widen to carry more floods.

There are designated buckets and places whereby the refuse are collected, sorted and treated properly now.

I strongly believe with these measures, since they are human-oriented will help to reduce, if not removed all these problems and their effects.
