New Contest: My Favorite Season| Summer Days are the Best
Summer solstice, longer days shorter nights. Carnaza Islands beautiful sunset.
Magandang buhay mga steemians!!
How are things with you right now? Well for me it's doing great. My days are just amazing and right now in the Philippines it's starting to feel hotter because it's Summer. Speaking of summer I came across this wonderful contest, choosing you favorite season. As you all know Philippines is a tropical country, as much as I wish to experience the beauty of Spring and Winter it'll only just a dream.
In the Philippines we only have Sunny and Rainy season. At times it would rain so much and typhoons come, whenever it's rainy I'd always wish for the sun. And at times when it's sunny it gets too hot that we don't even want to go out coz we might have heat stroke and then I'd wish for rain. Haha what a confusing feeling.
But I will never trade my Sunny days. So yeah my favorite season is Sunny. On summer I get to do a lot of things and I wanna share all those things to you guys.
Mactan Shrine or Liberty Park
This is my favorite thing to do, before the pandemic the City mayor had always been concerned with water pollution, as I mention before in my other blog I live in an island, so our main tourist spot are beaches. But unfortunate to say a lot of Lapu-lapu's beaches are polluted. So the government decided to do a Coastal Clean up every year. And we teachers get to be a part of it. I love doing this kind of things, helping and doing something that matters.
Island Hoping at Malapascua Island
Island Hoping at a near island in Mactan
Another thing I love about summer is going Island hoping. It's fun and exciting activity you can do with your family and friends. Renting a boat for the entire day and sharing food as you enjoy the crystal clear water is magnificent. What's fun with island hoping is you get to see not just one island but more. You can also visit fish sanctuaries and feed the fishes.
Mambukal 7 Falls Bacolod
Kawasan Falls Badian
Kawasan Falls Badian
These are just the many stunning waterfalls you can visit in the Philippines. I love going to water falls in summer because of its cold refreshing water. Specially on a hot day and taking a dip at a cold water is just perfect.
Olanggo Boardwalk Sanctuary

Kalanggaman Island Leyte
Maravilla Beach Tabuelan
And who would not fall in love with the crystal clear beaches in the Philippines, summer is the best time to visit the beach. The reflection of the sun and how it makes the sea brightens and sparkle make me want for more sunny days. Sun and beach is a match made.
Camping at Carnaza Island
Foam/Bubble party at Campuestohan Bacolod
Water Rafting at Villa Escudero Quezon
And who wouldn't enjoy this kind of activities in summer? The fun of playing under the sun is what we are all looking forward to. Kids and even adults would not say no to this. What I love about travelling is I get to make my kids enjoy the scenery and let them appreciate nature and life.
Olanggo Boardwalk
Simala Sibonga Cebu
And lastly, I love Sunny days because of it's tropical food. All sorts of seafoods, and refreshing drinks. Coconut juice served fresh and seafoods cooked right after being caught is not just healthy but the most scrumptious food you'll ever have.
Kalanggaman Island
Toledo Labyrinth
Foam Party
Buwakan ni Alejandra Flower Farm
We may not experience winter or spring, but we tried to make our own just to have a bit of winter and spring. I may envy other countries for having four seasons. But I will never trade my Sunny days in my beloved Philippines. Our life here might be hard at times, tragedy may cone on rainy days but you will still see smiles in our faces. Because we Filipinos have learned to love and appreciate what we have.
