Steem-agro Contest| "Crop Rotation in Agriculture"
Hello the amazing-hearted people how are we doing today greetings from this end, I love you from the bottom of my heart💞 I welcome you all to my blog post @vickyson
Crop rotation is shifting cultivation done by farmers on a piece of land at which they plant their crops every year crops rotation boosts the productivity of farmers and increases the nutrient soils of the crops some of the plants that as beans rotate another farm always yield a good result at the end of the family season and that is why farmers practice crop rotation
We have different farming systems which we practice here in the North especially yam and cassava you can't repeat them on the same land twice because it will not give you the good result that you as your farmer are looking for
Crop rotation reduces the risk of erosion which make its way through your farm and it increases the fertility of the soil which is good for your cropping for those that don't have much land for cropping rotation there is a segment at which agricultural scientists have taught us in school that you can share the land and plant this year then the following year you can now shift another crop to the other side of the farm and that will help boost your cropping activity
We have many types of crop rotation systems some crops can stay for 1 to 2 years while orders stay for 3 years as I have been told back then in school, cassava is one of the long-lasting crop rotation
During its harvest, you realize that it's released many leaves into the soil and also the removal of its stems helps the soil to bring out another fertilizer from the ground and that will make the land fertile for other farming
The pattern of the yam lasts for 8 months on the farm and that also helps in farm rotation after the harvest of the yam on the farm you cannot repeat yam in the same land twice because it will not give you a better result and that is why if another plant like corn is being planted in a place of yam after it harvests it yield out with good results
- Crop rotation improved soil fertility in many ways, such as organic manure from the various crops' leaves, stems, and roots. After harvest and decomposition.
- Change of crop in a given season means the soil, too, will be tilted according to the crop, either hip-making or rigid. This also improves soil fertility because the grass will serve as green manure making the soil more fertile
It helps to mitigate climate change due to how broad or tiny the leaves cover the soil which will lead to the release of air circulation (oxygen)
Which will produce heat or cold weather
It increases harvest, and also improves the supply of nutrients and organic matter in the soil which helps the farm to yield awesomely in their production it also district pests on crops
Most of these long-lasting crops adapt to climate change because they have stems that can help them survive in any weather conditions
I am grateful for your time in my blog I would love to invite my beautiful friends to partake in this awesome contest
