To everything, there is an alloted time and season that's been set for it.

There's no other industry that understands this saying bette than the agricultural sector.
Here we know by facts that seasons come and go. We also know by witnessing that everything though has a cycle that needs be repeated, needs be to do what one needs to do per time.

Following up on my statements in the paragraph above, I decided that the season to do some house weeding has come. I'm not always at home, leaving very early before daybreak and arriving back late at night, I believe I can blame this for my oversight of the fact that the front of my gate has been overgrown by weeds, but not anymore.
There's this saying in my native land that "a house where there are bushes overgrown, it simply means that no one lives there. Either the owners have passed on or aren't around to tend it.

But before I could get on with my intended work for today, I must first make breakfast. You see, I don't live alone, I stay at my parents house whenever I'm in town. I quickly set food boiling and made a very tasty pot of hot jellof rice.

I had decided not to eat rice today as it had become a staple food, but after tasting the rice I made, I took a plate full of it😂. Here I'll give credits to @jovita30 she taught me a very good recipe on how to make jellof rice sauce, hopefully she'll bring her culinary expertise to the steemit platform as it will benefit a lot of people here.

By this time, I was energised and ready for my weeding. I took a hoe I found and set out. The sun had already come out, but I was not to be deterred. Here are pictures of my front yard before I started work.

Cringes inwardly,- the whole place was a mass of weeds. Due to the hot sun on my back,I noticed passerby's staring at me, one even asked me why I was weeding under the hot sun. His question took my mind back to my village and the women and children who are in thier farms by this time, farming, I was not to be daunted.

I stayed working till I had cleared up a good portion of the weeds, and then my mum called and asked me to bring something to her shop. I quickly changed, delivered as I was asked and came back to my work
You know there's an energy that comes upon a man to do some things at times and if not done, that energy dissipates.

Sweaty and tired, but not giving up.
So far so good, I have been able to weed out a good portion of the front gate, though there is still some work to do. Maybe I'll tackle it tomorrow if the strength comes again or I'll leave it to my brother to do, but a half done job has never been my forte so chances are that you'll see me in the fields again.😁

I have scattered and left the already pulled out grasses to dry as the sun is shining with a vengeance. Once they dry up, I'll be back to gather them in the evening, praying the clouds don't let up and give us rains
