Trees are a great blessing from Allah Almighty. They provide us with clean air, shade, fruits, wood and countless other benefits. Sadly, due to population growth and indiscriminate deforestation, the number of trees around the world is decreasing. That is why today Forestation has become more important than ever.

Forestation refers to planting trees. Establishing new forests in areas. Where forests were not present before or have disappeared over time. The main objective of this process is to improve the environment. To conserve natural resources and make the earth green again. But also taking proper care of them. If plants are not given water, protection and a suitable environment. They cannot survive for long. That is why afforestation is a continuous process in which, along with planting trees, their protection is also necessary.

Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release oxygen, without which life is impossible. This is why trees are also called the lungs of the earth. Apart from this, forests are also the natural habitat of various animals, birds and insects. If forests are reduced, many creatures will lose their shelter.

Today, many countries of the world are running large-scale tree planting campaigns to protect the environment from pollution and reduce the negative effects of climate change. If every person plants even a few trees in his life, he can play an important role in improving the environment.

Agriculture depends on good soil. The adequate water and favorable weather. The afforestation plays a key role in all of these.

First trees protect the soil from erosion. In the event of heavy rain or wind. The fertile topsoil can wash away. But the strong roots of the trees hold the soil in place. This maintains the fertility of the soil. It also improves the crop yields.

The trees also increase the fertility of the soil. The dry leaves decompose. It turn into natural fertilizers. This increases the nutrients in the soil and helps crops grow better.

Forests help rainwater to be absorbed by the soil. It improves the groundwater level. This water is later used for irrigation. Especially in areas where there is a shortage of water.
