It peaked at number 1 of Billboard Hot 100, and certified 13x platinum in United States. It reached number 2 in UK Singles chart, and had gone 5x platinum. The sequel "Love the Way You Lie (Part II)" was also released for Rihanna's own album "Loud". It became a Silver record in UK, while Gold in United States.
