Nagaland is one of the north eastern state in India. Most of the population of the state are tribals. Each year, the Nagaland Government arrange this festival on 01 December to 08 December. The major tribes are invited to showcase their culture, tradition and food in the festival ground.

These pictures are from the hunting dance by the Angami tribes. They perform this dance in the village before going for hunting.

Note the artificial tail that the dancers are wearing as a part of their costume. They believe this will please the Animal God and the Animal God will send animals for them during the hunting.

The festival is arranged in open air theater. After the performance, the visitors can meet the performers outside the open air theater. During the festival days, the tribal representatives made temporary hut within the festival ground. They sell their traditional food, dress, handicrafts as souvenir to the visitors.

To attend this festival, international travelers need to fly to Guwahati Airport. From Guwahati, they can reach Kohima by domestic airlines or take a train to Dimapur and then hire car till Kohima. From Kohima they need to visit Hornbill festival which is held at Khisema.

Visitors require Inner Line Permit to visit Nagaland.

Hornbill festival was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. I enquired and found it is uncertain for 2021.

Hi. Your post has a lot of similar sentences to this website:

Plagiarism is forbidden in the hole platform.

Hello @belenguerra, I have been there. I have shared my own photos. The tagline "festival of the festivals" is used by the festival itself. I used this within inverted comma. I did not mentioned Wikipedia as the source, because I have not copied from wikipedia.

All other wordings and sentences are my own. For example, the details about the artificial tail and it's significance can only be known to a person who is actually there and have personal interaction with the dancers.

Please let me know if this explains. Thanks for your time to read my post.
