What to do in the Midst of Crisis - Corona Virus Series

Psa 61:1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. Psa 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psa 61:3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

I have seen many struggles over my lifetime. Just because we are a follower of Christ, does not insulate us from this fallen world. Sometime the righteous suffer with the unrighteous. Not because we are not God’s children or because He has not forgiven our sin, but, like I said, we live in a fallen world. But I have found that readily available to the child of God, is a place of refuge. A shelter from the storm! A Strong Tower where the righteous run into and they are safe.

There are times when, like in our current day, the entire world is in the middle of panic. There is an unseen enemy that threatens our health and the world economy. There are times when even those closest to us seem to have abandoned us. When we need them the most, they leave us high and dry. Whether sickness, death of a loved one, loss of work, divorce or problems with our children. Things too big for us and we feel helpless. The Bible says that because of fear of the future men’s hearts will fail them. As believers in Jesus Christ and true followers of His teachings, we are children of God. We have the promise of help in our time of need. We have a place of refuge! This refuge does not whisk us out of our trouble, but provides peace, comfort, love and hope right in the middle of the trouble. Sometime God does just rescue us, but other times we pass right through the wilderness or fires of testing. Like the Israelites in the wilderness, He shielded them all with a cloud by day and a Pilar of fire by night.

Scriptures

Pro 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Psa 23:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psa 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Psa 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psa 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psa 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

*It is not noteworthy if we have peace when there is peace all around. What is amazing is when we have peace right in the middle of troubled times. We have His perfect peace! We have no fear! We find shelter in the midst of the storm.

Yes Amen! Stay safe.

Thank you and you also!

Hello my friend! :D

Very well said, Amen! :D

It looks like your son has had a growth spurt, his face looks a bit longer and leaner than in some of his other photos, or it might just be my eyes playing a trick on me because of the angle of the shot. :D

I'm glad you and your fantastic family are all healthy and staying safe. :D

God bless you and your wonderful family. :D Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D

Thank you! His face really has changed a lot. He eats so much but we cannot get him to gain weight! Blessings dear sister!

You're welcome! :D He's going to be a handsome man with a very good metabolism if it stays that way, I wouldn't worry too much about him gaining weight, he's healthy and fit and that's a blessing in itself. :D

Our son has a great metabolism as well and outgrew me before he was 11, so who knows, he might be taller than your wife soon, it'll take a while for him to catch up to you though, I'm sure. :D

God bless you all. :D

Great advice my dear friend! I never told you this but my youngest niece is also named Amber.

I call her Ambernator!

That is a cute shot, she's got a sweet face and always looks so happy, no matter what she's doing when she gets captured in a picture. :D

My name isn't Amber in real life though, I just picked it because of my hair color (which is naturally red) to be honest (and the Frosty part of my name was because I'm older and have the white hair (frosty) to prove it,) LOL. :D

God bless you and yours. :D
