RE: Minority Report: Justin Sun, TRON, and our STEEM Blockchain
Hello @Roleerob!! You've made agreat investigation in all of this actions taken in the blockchain. It's really awesome to count with that kind of transparency in this place. 45 min and 60M SP was needed to take control of the chain, it's both terrible and fascinate!!
I think there was an event in the Tron blockchain that triggered the reaction of the Steem Wsses, I've read about that with abh12345 in this POST. It seems that some exchanges and JS himself made some irregular votes on block producers in that chain. Anyway I'm with your same opinion that the Soft Fork wasn't a wise step. Another note was that the new Wsses were created 2 days before by the account Alex20, created with sufficient funds through Blocktrades.
I think with some witnesses that the voting system must be changed to vote for a minimum number of witnesses or dividing the vesting between as many as you want. They have studies showing how this prevents centralization. But well, now it's maybe to late to make this in a preventive manner.
I'm still hoping that dialogue will come and better negotiations, I think that Ned needs to appear and give some explanations
We'll see what's comming next in the every day news in this chain!!
A big hug and best winds my dear friend @Roleerob!!
It is hard to know what is true, my friend ...
... as this was explained, as a temporary situation.
For me, I think the key was the failure to take the high road and, while certainly there was reason for (but unproven ...) suspicion, nonetheless lead with trust. Until such time as he took "malicious actions" (his words), which made it provably and unmistakably clear he had bad intentions.
As it is, the "Steem Consensus Witnesses" elected to "fire the first shot." And here we are ...
We all just need to live our "real lives" the best we can, since those "high over our heads" are wrestling over all of this now "in here," with no concern about what we might think ...
Thank you for stopping by and adding value to this post @leveuf. I hope you and yours are well! 😊
Very interesting times "in here". I can say that I know a lot more now about Steem, ninja-mining, DPOS, and many dormant whales that are waking up. I think my knowledge about where I am increased a 200%
But you are right, let's enjoy life which is continuing its march out there, always full of beauty, surprise and also a lot to learn.
Send you a big hug dear Friend, enjoy with your loved life mate and your Garden of Eden, may you have lot of good times making it rise!!
