Steemit Engagement Challenge Season8 Week1: What is the value of life?

Hi steemians,
I welcome you all to week 1 of the steemit engagement challenge for season 8. It has been a wonderful break so far and I'm delighted that we are fully back to continue this journey. Today, I'm presenting my entry number 1 in this week's engagement challenge on the topic "What is the value of life?". I will be attempting the questions below as a sign of my entry into the contest.

A death penalty is an ancient form of keeping peace among people living in a particular region or country. I said it is used to keep the peace because there are always laws which don't allow people to kill others. After all, if you take the life of another, the penalty is for your life to be taken too.

I strongly agree with the death penalty because it has helped to protect the weak from the strong. If there is no death penalty, the strong will ensure they erase the weak and become the only people living on the planet earth.

In my opinion, the death penalty is a very good approach to maintaining peace within a country, community or region. Today, we are living securely and happily within different categories of people around us because we have the confidence that they won't wake up to kill us one day.

The law is solidly behind us, if you kill anyone unjustly, you too will be killed. We are protected by the law. So I strongly agree with the death penalty being used as a working tool in every part of the world. It will help protect the weak, poor and the less privileged.

The death penalty is part of the law in my country as a matter of fact, people in my country don't wait for the government to take action when such an incident happens. The youth within the area will take immediate action because the law may take time in implementing justice.

Yes, it should be implemented. Without such penalty, as I have said earlier, the strong will continue to oppress the weak and take away all they have and possibly kill them if they are not careful. They will not have any saying at all in a country that is theirs.

With this type of penalty, people will live without fear of their father's land. They will be confident that the government is watching over them and they will protect them from any form of oppression. So in places where such a law is not implemented, I strongly advise it should be implemented asap.

Yes, there is a particular death case recorded recently here in my country Nigeria. About a month ago, an employer beat up his house help until the little child seized breathing. People have been observing men for quite a long time and they have always told them to be careful the way he handles their child.

This incident happened in an open field when he sent the child to purchase a few things in one of the stores around. The child bought what he was sent but before leaving the store the man can beat him and saying I sent you since and you went and were playing around.

People were gathered there and didn't say anything. Immediately the man hit the boy and the boy seized breathing, the youths around caught the man and then beat him mercilessly. They put a tyre around his neck and burnt him to ashes. They never waited for the authority to come around. This is usually so in many parts of my country.

Life is very valuable and that is the reason why people shouldn't just take any. No one can give life except God himself. This is the main reason why we shouldn't always think of taking the lives of others. The death penalty attached to killing others is a good one for me. Since you can give life, if you take any yours too should be taken. This is how I see life generally.
