It's another week and a warm greetings to you all in all parts of the world. I will be sharing with you my view about "The value of life". Read on as we will be exposed on this interesting topic.

The Value of Life

The value of life is not limited to the life we have but the value we placed on men. I want you to know that life is not valuable when we don't have respect for people around us. The wealth you have will be valued when you have value for people.

What do you think about the death penalty, do you agree or disagree? Explain why?

Unlike in Nigeria, whenever a citizen goes the wrong way or involves in criminal act/ murder, he/she must faced the law court where he/she will be declared a victim of the case or be set free by the Chief Judge.

If the accused person is declared as victim, then some stipulated act will be read out to the entire court before sentence to a particular years imprisonment and this is depending to the kind of crime committed. This punishment is always applied whenever the criminal law is broken. How can you be involved in murder or drug trafficking and you won't faced the consistencies? This is too bad especially when it involves men on power, the truth will be covered which is too bad. This penalty is now just for those who are poor in the society and not for the rich.

Is this type of penalty part of the law in your country? Do you think it should be implemented?

Murdering and drug trafficking is restricted here in Nigeria. This is a part of law here in Nigeria but due to corruption, the right thing is not done when it comes to execution of the penalties. This law should be implemented and adhere strictly to! This should make every citizens be subject to the rule of law in the country.

Do you know of any particular case of death penalty in your country or any other country? Can you share it?

There are serious cases of death in my country because of lack of insecurity. Every year, the security challenges is growing and our government is doing nothing about it. Children are been kidnapped and the government pays heavily for the released. When we want to look at this critically, you will discover that the government is using these criminals to extract cash from the country.

On the 25th of February 2023, we held our Presidential election but some polls, the election was canceled while some polls some persons where killed just for nothing.

I hereby invite @sualeha,@adilkhann, @dove11,
@kedar1, @gwillchrist, @josepha. To take part in this contest.

In conclusion, i believe if we can make the rulers to face the law just like any other common man, then The value of life would be respected.

Thank you for checking at my blog.

Speaking about the election ,i believe the bvas was used as instructed ,but the result were not from the bvas people used, such issue should be treated carefully, if care is not taken, youth won't vote in the coming election ,cause it will be of no use as the vote won't count

My dear, i don't even thinks Nigerian should be holding Presidential elections. This is because the choice of the people has never been given.

Well spoken sir

Saludos

Thank you and i wish to read the punishment for crime in your country too as you join this contest. Thanks for your time.

Dear @justiceanietie,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the value of life and the death penalty. It is concerning to hear about the corruption in the execution of penalties in Nigeria and the lack of security for citizens. The examples you provided highlight the need for greater accountability and transparency in the justice system. I hope that steps are taken to address these issues and create a safer and more just society for all.

Yes! That is the current situation on ground. After our presidential election, INEC chairman has refused to announced the results but the citizens are now saying Nigeria must give us what we want. Thank you for your opinion.

Thanks for the detailed article.
Seriously the insecurity level of Nigeria is out of control, but we thank God almighty who had been so faithful in keeping and protecting us. If we rely on our government, everyone should have been gone by now.

I wish you well in your entry.

Thanks for reviewing my post.

Quite insightful, conviction in our domain is largely done on papers especially as it concerns the ordinary and vulnerable Man. Kudos

You are welcome.

While I frown against people beating the justice system, we need to understand that lawyers are there to interpret the law to defend or attack a case. I always say that it is possible to be humanly guilty of a crime and be guilty in the court of public opinion, but be released on bail or acquitted by a court if there is not enough evidence to nail the victim. Also, the lawyer can decide to interpret the law to the favor of the accused and then he wins.

You have spoken too well. Thanks for your contribution.
