My answer here is NO. I am not afraid of any medical instrument even though but the drill inside a dental is the one that makes me to be a little afraid. However, I'm not still afraid of this tool because I have never had an experience with it before. It was when s friend and I went to hospital and I saw how he was treated using the dental tool that got me scared. Why I said I'm not that afraid of this tool id because I have not had an experience with it and so I don't see anything to be afraid of this tool
What hurts me to feel pains is what makes me to be scared. So a dental tool has never hurt me, so there's nothing I should scared of. However, I'm someone that is always bold and I am hardly afraid of any medical instrument. The only thing I hate so much is taking drugs. Thank God for my good health that I hardly get sicked. This is why I hardly take drugs. Since my childhood life till now, drugs has never been part of me and most often when I take it, it will instead make me to pass out.

A very big yes to Orthopedic surgeons. someone who specialized in bone formation is call an Orthopedic surgeons and we locally call this person Doctor bone. When ever I hear of this name I will start getting scared because of the bad and worse experience I have had with this type of medical specialists in the past
When growing up, I use to love playing football with passion and I use to also practice gymnastics. I have had countless injuries during my football life and also during practicing gymnastics.
My first experience with this specialist was back then when I was in primary 6, I suspended a very serious injury with my neg when I was practicing gymnastics. I first thought my neg will never rotate or be straight again since It was tight with bandage 🩹 for close to 2months and I couldn't rotate it. After taking prescript medicines, it didn't work and I had to go directly to a bone doctor where the man treated me as if I was his enemy as he turn and twisted my neg with no mercy. That same day, my neg was healed though I pass through hell fire that day with the bone doctor. I thank him so much and I was very happy with him
Another bad experience I had with a bone doctor was when I sustain a serious issue injury during a football encounter when I was representing my school during a Fenasco tournament (a football tournament that is always organise every year in secondary schools in my country Cameroon). I had bone dislocation and only an Orthopedic Surgeons had to attain to me. He work on the bone dislocation for 2weeks and during that two weeks, I went through hell fire as he didn't take lightly with me when ever he was handling my foot to treat it since it also needed manual attention not only medicine or injections
With my bad experience with this doctor specialist, when ever I hear of the name, I am so skeptical
Did you experience any medical trauma in your childhood?Could you share it with us? |

Though I'm not afraid of any medical instrument at this my adulthood, when growing up as a child I was extremely afraid of injection and the hospital in general. When ever I was sick and my mom tells me we will visit the hospital I will begin to cry and beg her because of my fear of going to the hospital since my worst nightmare at that time was seeing an injection because I use to have very bad experience with it
My first bad experience with an injection was when I was about 2yrs(Yes I can't forget that day) when I was taken to the hospital and I was injected through my buttocks. Here in my community, children between 2 and 3 years always take vaccines so as to protect them against sicknesses such as Haemophilus influenza, chickenpox, hepatitis, measles, mumps, and so many other sickness that may cause them trouble in future. It was so unfortunate for me as I had a terrible experience when I took this vaccine as I felt so much pains and trauma around my buttocks. I couldn't seat with my buttocks on the chair for days and I cried throughout during that period since the injected place was painful. Since from that day, I was always afraid of going to the hospital because what always comes on my mind is the incident of that Injection. However, growing up, I became use to with injections and I very bold and I was not longer afraid of it or any medical instrument
Have you experienced an accident or illness considered serious? What teaching did this experience leave you? |

YES I have had a terrible accident and this left me in a very bad condition that till today, I will never forget that day. It was on August 2012 when I was still a kid. I went for summer holidays in the South West region in kumba to spend it with my uncle. He was having a motor bike 🚲. When I went for holidays to spend it with him, I saw how little children of my age was riding motorcycles and I was like! "Woooow* this is beautiful.
Due to this, I developed interested in riding a bike as well but unfortunately I didn't know how to ride it. I begged my uncle to start teaching me how to ride it, so fortunate for me, he accepted it since he also wanted me to learn how to ride a motor bike. He looked for a bike rider and paid him to be teaching me since he(my uncle) didn't have the time as he is a business man and always busy. The guy my uncle paid started taking me to the field on daily basis and teaching me how to ride
Since I was so anxious and eager to learn, I didn't waste too much time in learning as I started handling the bike myself and riding it with no fears since I had alot of confidence. One day, I took my uncle's bike and was going to the market to buy food stuffs in the market, I had a terrible accident as I collided head-on with a vehicle ( till today don't know how did that happen). I was emmidiately rush to the hospital because I sustained alot of brushes and injuries but thank God my face wasn't affected. It was only my hands and legs taht was affected as I had seriouse brushes. The worst part of the story was that my Leg almost separated into 2 parts as I had a fracture and dislocation at my knee region.
My leg was under treatment for close to 3months and I during that period, I was using crutches to walk since the injured leg couldn't move. From that day, I said goodbye to riding a motorcycle 🏍️. Ever since I have never ride a motorcycle because of the fear I developed when I had the terrible accident
Thanks so much for your time everyone. I hope you enjoyed going through my content and I hope you learned something from it
Before saying goodbye, I will love to invit my fellow friends, @rafk , @tangwe-rene , @meethussnain @fonjougiresse, @monjuapollonia and @echamroland to come and participate in this amazing contest
My regards : @chiabertrand
Hello sir @chiabertrand I thank you very much for the invitation. I will take part in the next few hours.
You provided us with a good a detailed post about your medical experience.
I understand you most men are not afraid of medical instruments. Being it syringes, bistouri... Nevertheless it is not your case of course but I know some men who are afraid of the syringe.
Most of the time these specialists uses analgesic or pain killers after their operations so that you should be in pain. May you saw how it operates and it scared you.
Yet since bones are highly innervated a fracture or injury there will cause excess pain.
Good explanation about your medical experience. Glad to read your publication. Good luck buddy. You can also visit my publication.
That doctor was mean to you and he was a child, he had no mercy, thank goodness my doctor is more compassionate.
Wow your leg broke, spending 3 months in recovery must have been very hard, but you got through it, I'm glad.
Experiencing a broken bone is a very painful thing, a pain that will fill the body as well as a long healing,
This will provide a very meaningful life experience for you and all of us to be careful when driving,
Wish you always healthy,
️
I've had drills going into my mouth, but not the fear I've experienced. I'm just amused when the drill works in my mouth. I also share posts about medical experiences, if you have time please see them and I am very happy.
