Introduction

Hello Parcera and Parcero, it's with great pleasure to write this post showing to you all and the world how I take care of the beautiful planet of ours, as rightly said by #colombiaoriginal

it is an important date and in which we should all become aware of this for the simple fact that it is our home.

Yes it is our home and we have to protect it by all means possible, by protecting the life in it, by finding new energy, by creating new waste disposal methods, by switching to biodegradable sources, and many more.
When it comes to the planet,it's never enough to just clean it up or do campaigns, but nonetheless the little that we do can come a long way to saving a life.

The problems that we face in our planet (Climate change, weird weather behavior, tsunamis, Floods and many more) today is due to accumulation of dangerous gases in the atmosphere produced by manufacturing industries, also poor disposal of plastics and
by-products of these industries leads to death of fish and destruction of natural habitat.
All we can do now is manage these problems because the did has already been done.

How I Take Care of The Planet

Here, are some of the things and activities I do to manage these problems;

• Participate in Coastal cleanup Campaigns
• Compound clean ups
• Renewable energy
• Growing crops

Now those are the four little things I do to take care of our planet and for each of them I'll be given you details of how I do all these activities and every picture you would like to see.

PARTICIPATING IN COASTAL CLEANUP CAMPAIGNS

According to world statistics, global plastic pollution is causing a lot of damages, and I followed the life cycle of plastics and how the end up in the oceans
plastics after being manufactured, they are used to package water, drinks and other liquids after which they are turned to waste. This waste generated is sent out of homes in garbage cans and also in coastal regions it is mostly sent into oceans otherwise it comes from nearby Rivers and seas, in 2010 coastal plastic waste was estimated to generate within 50 kilometres of the coastline an amount of 99.5 million tonnes.
only plastic waste which is improperly managed ends up polluting the environment.
Therefore each year, an NGO known as Association of Community Awareness (ASCOA), so I joined them to participate in their beach clean up at Limbe.

We gathered so much plastics from the sea, just by cleaning it's shores, then imaging how much more is out there in the seas and the oceans that we didn't get to gather.
We used some tools that helped us make a lot of progress in the work activity

After this little work we can say we did our little best in taking care of our planet.
Allowing us to reduce the plastics surrounding the sea and so doing, we save one or two lives. These plastics were submitted to the recycle company for proper management.

COMPOUND CLEAN UP

Another way of taking care of my planet was to practice cleaning habits, on this note, I'll like to show you some of the clean ups we do in our environment on a weekly basis. This way we avoid unnecessary attention from wild animals and insects.

These are the plastics which were gotten from around the compound alone, it was shocking when you take a keen look at it, there you'll notice a huge pile of plastics these will be disposed off properly if you were wandering.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

Another way of taking care of the planet was to develop new ideas on energy production, that is, electricity, heat and many more using bio gaz.
So I couldn't afford the budget but the idea was put in writing in the form of a Project proposal and submitted to the right office.

CULTIVATING CROPS

This is the greatest step I'm taking so far to help save the planet, by producing food from natural means, this will go a long way to help the population with food and body energy and the waste gotten from natural food is biodegradable meaning no one will get hurt by such action.
I cultivate crops that favor the increase in fertility of the soil and also improve food availability in the community.

These are the little things I do to make the planet a safer place for us all and I know you reading this is also doing something to help.
