CONTEST CONTEST/CREATING STORIES, The story of a woodcutter by @arimiyawu

Good day to everybody in this community, am very glad to see you all again. Indeed, @colombia-original is a great community and always shares an interesting contest for its members to participate in. It is my pleasure to participate again in this wonderful contest.

Once upon a time, there was a very strong man who specialized in woodcutting. One day, this strong woodcutter asked for a job from a timber merchant and he got it successful.

This payment was really interesting and so was the work conditions. For these reasons, the man was determined to do his best.

The merchant gave him an axe and showed him the area where he was supposed to work.So he dressed nicely every day and put his working clothes and the axe in his bag and carried it on his back to the forest.

Feature

The first day, he brought home 18 trees.
The boss gave him a massive "Congratulations," and asked him to. "Go on that way!"

He got motivated by the words of his boss. The man tried harder on the next day, but he could not be more like his first day and came home with only 15 trees. On the third day, he went to the forest again to try harder, but he could not make any progress, but rather decreased and only brought 10 trees home. He keep on reducing day by day bringing less and less trees.

The woodcutter thought he might be losing his strength. So he went to his boss and apologized, by saying that he did not understand what was going on.
The merchant asked him a question, that when was the last time he sharpened his axe?

The man replied by saying, "Sharpen? I don't have anytime to sharpen the axe. I got myself in a very busy mood trying to cut more trees..."

      Reflection:

This means our lives are like that. We sometimes find ourselves so busy that we don’t even take time to sharpen our "axe". In today’s world, it seems like everyone is busy than ever, but less happy than ever.

Why it is like that? Would it be that we have all forgotten how to stay sharp?

There is nothing wrong with a person being active and hard working. But we should not find ourselves so busy that we do not remember the important things in life, like in our personal life, taking time to get closer to our Creator, giving our families more time, etc.

It is clear that everyone of us need time to relax, in order to think and meditate, to learn and also to grow. If we don’t take our time to sharpen our axe, we will become boring and also lose our strength and effectiveness.
