SEC S11W1: Challenging Your Beliefs about Motherhood and Fatherhood

It's another beautiful day to share my thoughts in Steemit Engagement Challenge season 11 of week 1 in Colombia-Original Community.

I will use the contest questions as guidelines;

Is a Man or Woman Incomplete if They are not a Father or Mother, What Do You Think?

I don't think it is right to categorise any man or woman incomplete if they are not parents yet or ready to have a child. When it comes to childbearing, it is always very hard to judge people's decision. Most people decides not to have one while others are believing God to have one someday but life challenges makes it impossible. Childlessness cannot make someone's life incomplete because sometimes, it is a choice and there are also way out of it if necessary.

Do You Think Parents Should Put Aside Their Goals / Dreams for Their Kids

This question is a little bit tough to answer either YES or NO. Regardless, I would say; YES! because parenthood require sacrifices. Children needs more care and attention and as a parent, before you start bringing innocent children to the world, you must be financially, mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically buoyant/ ready to train them.

If it happens when you are not capable then fine, but one sacrifice or more must be done which is putting down your dreams or goals for your children.

My View of Those Who Choose not to Have Children

Starting a home is one of the hardest decision to make especially from a man's points. The thought of being established to the point of giving your children the best upbringing and education is what hinders most people from having children.
I don't judge or question people who choose not to have children because life itself is a choice.
Everyone are entitled to their own opinion. If being childless makes a person happy and okay then it's fine. People are created with different mindsets and mentality, so having to put a question mark on people's life decision is what I can't do. I rather accept their choice and move on with my own life.

Do You Consider That in Order to be Parents There Must be Ideal Conditions Like; Social, Economic, Physical and Mental Health

Personally, I have this mindset that if anyone wants to become parents, the person must be fully ready financially, emotionally, physically, mentally and otherwise.

All these factors need to be considered before planning to become parents. Bringing kids to the world and loving them alone is not enough, they need all the basic things parents should have.

A damaged and broke parent can't give a child the best upbringing, so all those factors listed above are required in order to be a good parent.
