Tom and Jerry Review - Much Better Than Expected

We all waited for the release of Tom and Jerry to recall memories that will not be forgotten no matter how old we are, but we were concerned about seeing characters we love again because of the many pitfalls of the past when Warner tried to produce new series but failed dramatically. And in today's review, we're going to explore together on tom and Jerry's worth all this waiting?

When tom and jerry's cat meet again at a hotel to coincide with a historic wedding at that hotel. So what happens to that wedding?

The factor that has raised many of the concerns of a large segment of the audience from the film Tom and Jerry is the mixing of animation with reality, especially since we saw in the suspenseful trilre of the work the reliance of the director of the film on two-dimensional drawings may feel the lack of realism and the lack of connection of those drawings with the real characters ... But quite the contrary, that risk from the director was the point of superiority of the initial film. We saw Tom and Jerry as we promised them the same drawings and the same facial expressions we love. It was the right decision not to turn them into a cat or a real mouse, as happened in many live action films such as Sonic and Lion king, who have been heavily criticized for the characters that some have described as being mutants.

As director Tim Storey did when he resorted to 2D graphics and avoided the risk of becoming real-life objects also avoiding risk when he relied on the same comedic attitudes that we know in the famous Tom and Jerry episodes and that was a positive and negative aspect at the same time ... Positive is to rely on strong and funny attitudes, no matter how repetitive they are able to draw smile on our face, but the negative is that we sometimes feel that we see only an improved version of Tom and Jerry's episodes and not a new film ... But in the end, this didn't affect the overall experience of Tom and Jerry because the film relied on a whole new story we've never seen before with tom and jerry characters.
But that was not compensated for the weakness of the story itself and its strong tradition, there is no doubt that the film is aimed at children and the writer wants to establish rules of moral values and messages, but what is necessary is to repeat a story that is very weak . There was a great opportunity to craft a story of different dimensions because Tom and Jerry don't have a specific story that I have to make like so many other works. But it is a missed opportunity that can be compensated if a second part of this film is produced.

It is strange that the writer and director of the work did not fully exploit the auxiliary characters in the old Tom and Jerry series such as Dog and Other Street Cats ... What struck me and many people were particularly frustrating because their backs had a special character in our bows and the benefit of them was something that would add a lot to the work but they were presented in a very bad way.

Mixing the movements of Tom and Jerry with music is natural and predictable as it was in the episodes of the old series but what is new here is mixing with modern music professionally and very wonderfully make the film more modern and closer to our current reality and thus added a charming touch between the combination between Tom and Jerry Nostlegia and our modern reallife as we have never seen before.
One of the flaws that affected the general experience of the film is the writer's focus on the characters of Ben, Britta, Kelly and Ternessy at the expense of Tom and Jerry themselves and they are the basis of watching the film and of course this was because of the writer's attempt to highlight the characters of Tom and Jerry in the midst of a real society and prove that this film Tom and Jerry is not classified as an animated film but a live action movie ... But that greatly weakened the quality of the film very unfortunately.
Acting in general was traditional of all and lacked effective comedy, but with the exception of Chloe Gareth Moritz, whose choice was very intelligent, it is the main element and the engine of events, and if the choice was different, the fate of this work would have failed and forgotten in particular that its scenes are much more than those of Tom and Jerry

In the end, it's a fun movie that brings us back to childhood and it's worth waiting for and it's considered one of the best, most innovative and closest live action movies for viewers. I would recommend watching it in a beautiful family evening, but without raising the ceiling of expectations.
