Hello everyone
I'm very happy to share my childhood story, one of the numerous interesting stories that my grandma used to keep us busy and educate us too.

THE TORTOISE AND THE HARE

Tortoise is the wisest of the wild animals and always to be respected by all the animals in all the kingdoms on the earth.

However, every animals fear this cunning animal, not because of its physical strength or power but its mental strength is surprisingly. Due to his God given gift of thinking out new ways of doing things makes it to be highly acceptable in the animal kingdom. Even kings fear it but anything that it's focussed on, he give it all its strength, its technical skills and his mental strength to achieve its target on set time too.

His doggedness and endurance is another character that we should emulate from the mighty tortoise.

However, the hare on its part, is a very fast runner. Whenever there is ran race competition between animal kingdom to any other kingdom, if cheetah is not available, Hare gladly will be beckoned on to represent the animal kingdom and it will surely win that race.

However, there is a time when tortoise challenged hare after hare won one of the great running conquest. Hare was crowned as the best animal due to its ability on relay race. Many other animals celebrate with it and they drink and eat edible foods but not all of them was happy for this great feat.

Tortoise, who always craves for more glories and respect from other animal was very bittered because of how other animal celebrated hare's winning feat that's another reason why Tortoise challenged it.

However, winning the race and be highly celebrated, Hare is now the best bachelor and there is no other competitors including Tortoise to win the love of all the beautiful maidens in the kingdom and this again worsen the tortoise's chances and he wanted to regain its image. That's why Tortoise challenged it.

On the day of the races, everything is set and all animals was present to witness the outcome originally even the maidens, Tortoise was happy and ready but it knows that its running abilities can not be compared with that the current champion in this field. Tortoise was determined and focused too. But, Hare trusted itself very well and without ever thinking of the possible outcome. Deep inside Hare's mind, this race is its own already. What of the spectators, they all have given this race to the Champion - Hare.

The race started on very high note, both tortoise and Hare run at their best but their best is not equaled without wasting of time, Hare is already on the middle of the running track and Tortoise can not be seen because it is still at its best which is at still at the onset! Hare looks outside the track and saw a very cool place to relax and ripe fruits to enjoy too. Hare lost its focus on the race and sat at the cool place surrounded by trees to relax a bit, thinking that even if Tortoise reach there, after relaxing, It can still win the race.

However, our current champion was still at the cool place and very deep in sleep due to the cool arena and this can affect us too whenever we are less-focused, less busy and in a cool place. Tortoise run past Hare without calling it up. Yes! Its good because they are in race. On getting to the finish lane that is when Hare woke up and remember the race and ran at its pace. But, behold Tortoise cut the ribbon on the finish point, not out of jealousy but because it was the first to reach it thereby making Tortoise the bonafide winner. Tortoise won this race to the surprise of many spectators and thereby regain its image and chances of getting married to the most beautiful maiden, the first daughter of the king.

LESSON OF THE STORY.

This story taught me a very good lesson and something that I should implement in my life to be a winner in all race of life.

• FOCUS AND DOGGEDNESS.
  Like Tortoise, I should be focus on whatever that I am doing and be creative on it to achieve my aim. Although at the beginning, the task can be challenging and stressful. But, being persistence and focused on it, I will be a winner and successful.
  Unlike Hare, if whenever, I am leading on any of the race of this life, I will not be distracted but remain focus to win.

• Trust in God and not only on my abilities
  Hare thought that its abilities is equalled to the task. Its true but overly believing on itself with less work and abilities caused its lost. I will work on myself always just like professional athlete and still ask for God's help because I believe in Him too to help me in all my race.

• Slow and Steady.

That is a wonderful and wise saying, which summarised this story. Although, I might be crawling at the onset but if I continue at it with my best. I will be a winner.
