A Story That Calls Out Our Hidden Child |The Little Prince // Un Cuento que Trae de Vuelta a Nuestro Niño Interior | EL PRINCIPITO

El Principito por Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
El principito es uno de los cuentos que mas ha tenido impacto en mi. Mi papá solía leermelo varias veces a la semana desde que tenía 8 años y no me cansaba de admirar la manera en que lo hacía. Debo admitir que en ese entonces aún no sabía las enseñanzas ocultas dicha obra pues solo me concentraba en el principito y su flor, de hecho una de las cosas que mi papá me solía decir era "Ella es una rosa hermosa, una rosa hermosa como vos" (mi nombre al igual es Rosa). Y me decía que las personas que de verdad me querrían lo harían aún con mis defectos ya que no solamente las virtudes hacen a un ser humano sino acepta sus defectos.
En la lectura Poco a poco surgían los nuevos personajes como el zorro, el rey, la serpiente, el vanidoso, el bebedor, el farolero, el hombre de negocios, el sabio, los cuales muestran distintas facetas de la vida adulta. Haré mención a algunos
El vanidoso representa esa necesidad de ser reconocido por las cosas que hace, la aprobación de los demás para sentirse bien consigo mismo, con confianza. Pero también es muy dificil que se sientan del todo llenos ya que su inconformidad les hace esclavos en la mayoría del tiempo de esa saciar esa necesidad.
El rey es como esas personas que necesitan dar ordenes y ser reconocidos. El querer tener y ejercer poder y control sobre los demás aún cuando su fin sea buscar hacerles el bien.
El farolero es como aquellas personas que se conforman con cumplir con su labor en un trabajo sin ver mas allá de la vida, no buscan y no se atreven a mejorar su vida con otras cosas quedandose hasta hipnotizados por su enfoque cerrado y excesivamente centrado en aquello que les proporciona cierta comodidad.
En el sabio podemos ver reflejadas a esas personas que a pesar que tienen mucho conocimiento no se atreven a luchar y hacer realidad sus sueños, a tomar riesgos. Dependen de otras personas para ir mas allá.
El zorro representa la amistad, aquellos amigos con los cuales a pesar de tener presente que en algun momento nos distanciaremos por alguna razon igual decidimos construir ese vinculo al cual nos apegamos en cierto grado al pasar del tiempo.
La serpiente sería el paso del tiempo, la aceptación de que ya finalizó una etapa y debemos continuar con nuestra vida para experimentar las siguientes etapas. Aunque muchas veces no estamos preparados para tomar esta gran decisión y dar ese paso.
La flor en este caso representa esas personas que estan con nosotros y nos ofrecen su amor, y quien mejor ejemplo que nuestra familia. Somos conscientes que nada es perfecto, pero aun con los defectos podemos aceptarlos ya todos tenemos nuestros defectos y es parte de la humanidad.
Muchas veces nos olvidamos de que fuimos niños durante un tiempo, y que la niña o el niño aún está allí en nuestro interior. Todo por entregarnos de una manera cegada a la vida de adulto creyendo que volver a ser niño de vez en cuando está mal, es inmaduro o no es cosa de adultos. Pero creo que eso no tiene porque ser así. La manera en la que un niño ve e interpreta la vida puede resultar muy diferente a la de un adulto, un claro ejemplo es cuando vemos la iconica serpiente con el elefante en su interior en otra perspectiva es un sombrero.
Reitero que en mi niñez no podía captar las enseñanzas de tal obra, no fue sino hasta muchos años despues que pude ir viendo cada una de esas facetas adultas plasmadas en la realidad y comprender muchísimo mejor el significado. Tiempo despues me di cuenta de lo que mi papá quería enseñarme. Sin duda alguna el principito es un libro que a pesar de ser destinado principalmente para niños nos deja lecciones muy valiosas para todas las edades.
En mi caso he tratado de mantener presente a traves de lo aprendido con este libro que debo aceptar mis defectos y los de mis amigos, en dado caso de que no me hagan bien mis defectos trabajar en ellos para mejorarlos.
Respetar las vidas de los demás para no llegar al punto de tomar decisiones por ellos sino ayudarles hasta cierto punto que ellos mismos puedan tomar sus decisiones.
No estancarme en el conformismo de la comodidad que me pueda ofrecer un trabajo si sé que puedo llegar mas lejos, y aún así no ver las cosas unicamente por el valor material que pueda otorgarle a mi vida sino también en el aspecto personal.
Valorar a las personas que se preocupan por mi y lo hacen de una manera desinteresada, hacerlo de igual manera desinteresada por ellos.
Y por ultimo, pero no menos importante, luchar por mis sueños y tener presente que el tiempo pasa y lo mejor es disfrutar las distintas etapas de la vida con la responsabilidad de adulto, pero manteniendo ferviente la niña en mi interior.

The Little Prince is one of the stories that has had the biggest impact on me. My dad used to read it to me several times a week when I was around 8 and I never tired of admiring the way he did it. I must admit that at that time I still didn't know the hidden teachings of this work because I only concentrated on the little prince and his flower, in fact one of the things my dad used to tell me was "She is a beautiful rose, a beautiful rose like you" (my name is also Rosa). And he used to tell me that the people who would really love me would do it even with my defects, because not only the virtues make a human being but he also accepts his defects.
In the reading, little by little new characters emerged, such as the fox, the king, the snake, the vain, the drinker, the lamplighter, the businessman, the wise man, which show different facets of adult life. I will mention some of them
The vain person represents that need to be recognized for the things he does, the approval of others in order to feel good about himself, with confidence. But it is also very difficult for them to feel completely fulfilled because their nonconformity makes them slaves most of the time to satisfy that need.
The king is like those people who need to give orders and be recognized. Wanting to have and exercise power and control over others even when their aim is to do them good.
The lamplighter is like those people who are satisfied with fulfilling their work in a job without seeing beyond life, they do not seek and dare not improve their life with other things, becoming hypnotized by their closed and excessively focused approach on what gives them some comfort.
In the wise man we can see reflected those people who despite having a lot of knowledge do not dare to fight and make their dreams come true, to take risks. They depend on other people to go further.
The fox represents friendship, those friends with whom, despite having in mind that at some point we will distance ourselves for some reason, we still decide to build that bond to which we become attached to a certain degree as time goes by.
The snake would be the passage of time, the acceptance that a stage is over and we must continue with our life to experience the next stages. Although many times we are not ready to make this big decision and take that step.
The rose in this case represents those people who are with us and offer us their love, and who better example than our family. We are aware that nothing is perfect, but even with the flaws we can accept them, we all have our flaws and it is part of humanity.
Many times we forget that we were children for a while, and that the little girl or boy is still there inside us. All because we give ourselves in a blinded way to adult life, believing that going back to being a child from time to time is wrong, immature or not an adult thing to do. But I think it doesn't have to be that way. The way in which a child sees and interprets life can be very different from that of an adult, a clear example is when we see the iconic snake with the elephant inside in another perspective is a hat.
I reiterate that in my childhood I could not grasp the teachings of such a work, it was not until many years later that I could see each of these adult facets embodied in reality and understand the meaning much better. Some time later I realized what my father wanted to teach me. Undoubtedly, The Little Prince is a book that, despite being intended mainly for children, leaves us with very valuable lessons for all ages.
In my case I have tried to keep in mind through what I have learned with this book that I must accept my faults and those of my friends, in case my faults do not do me good, work on them to improve them.
To respect the lives of others so as not to reach the point of making decisions for them but to help them to a certain extent so that they can make their own decisions.
Not to stagnate in the conformism of the comfort that a job can offer me if I know that I can go further, and yet not to see things only for the material value that I can give to my life but also in the personal aspect.
To value people who care about me and do it in a selfless way, to do it in an equally selfless way for them. ** And last, but not least, but last but not least, to value people who care about me and do it in a selfless way, to do it in an equally selfless way for them.
And last but not least, to fight for my dreams and to keep in mind that time goes by and the best thing is to enjoy the different stages of life with the responsibility of an adult, but keeping the child inside me fervent.
