Unfortunately, this is one movie I found to be boring. And one movie I can't make up my mind to give another watch. But David Fincher's 'Mank' is coming soon, the story on Herman Mankiewicz.. I'm gonna have to watch this one before I look at that one. Cannot miss a fincher
For many films you have to go back to the time when they were made.
By doing this cinematographic exercise you can appreciate much more!
The contributions of Citizen Kane were great.
For example, @jacorv wrote about George Lucas' Star Wars.
That movie is extraordinary. It marks a before and after in the science fiction genre. But you can't look at it with the technology we have today but with the cinematic contributions of its time.
Then, the Wachowski brothers' Matrix, another science fiction film, made a new turn in this genre.
In any case, first we have to enjoy the films and then, if necessary, we analyze them.
