Poem// I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE THIS

“I am tired of phases and stages. I am tired of flowing. I am tired of disappointments and disappointing people. Of needing people and being needed. Of receiving as much as giving. Of having to feel. Of having to think. I am tired of living my purpose. Of being functional. Of surviving. Of being good. Of being flawed. Of being strong. Of being weak. Of all this having to let go.

Of having to hold on to so many places and feelings. I want to be the night. To not dream. To not lay on anything. To be an unnoticed passing weekend. A regular part of something without being owned. To not be tied on human hearts. To not remember moments, but to be the moment. To not absorb anyone's emotions. Without a name. Without favorites. Without a size or color. I want to not be. Is it just me?”
