Greetings:

Hello everyone there!

  • I hope you're doing well in your lives. May Almighty Allah bless us all with HIS countless blessings in this critical pandemic condition.❤️

Today I'm gonna talk about plagiarism and why there shouldn't be plagiarism. It's very necessary to know that why it shouldn't be here on steemit. Not only steemit but it shouldn't be on anywhere either. It's a really shameful act to do.

We must have some etiquettes of writing the content in which we will know that there shouldn't be any kind of plagiarism involvement in our writings

  • Let's have a look that what content etiquettes are:

Content Etiquettes:

As this topic is about the content etiquettes so I'm going to elaborate it.

Morally it is weird and a disgusting act to steal someone's lines, ideas and their written content. It shouldn't be the part of your professionalism. If somehow we have to write the words written by someone else we should mention his/her name as the credit. So that the reader have the idea about the real author of the words. It is morally a good act and it is one of the best etiquette of the content.

  • Now have a look that what is plagiarism?

Plagiarism:

I'm going to share my thinkings about plagiarism.

First of all we all have to understand that what plagiarism actually is.

Here's my own definition of plagiarism:
"Copying and stealing the ideas and written content of someone else without mentioning his/her name and without giving them a credit is known as plagiarism"

It is the most weird and disgusting act.

Let me explain it with an example then it will become understandable easily.🥰

Let's say you're the given an assignment to submit to your class teacher. If you will copy the stuff from the internet you should have mention the website name as source so that the teacher will know that from where you've got the idea. This will not be included in plagiarism. But if you steal some other student's assignment and copy word by word then you're welcome to the plagiarism family. You should have mention the real writer's name or that website name your copying the stuff from.

For example you've written few lines from internet and the website name is xyz.com the you should mention in the end like this:

Source: xyz.com

This is a decent and educated way to copy the stuff by mention the source.

Practical example:

Let me give you guys a practical example of it.

Look at my above picture. I took it from Pinterest and as this is not my own photography so I had to paste the link of the source of which the picture belong to.

I hope now you guys got the idea about plagiarism which I was trying to explain earlier.

Self plagiarism:

There's a kind of plagiarism known as "self plagiarism".

What is a self plagiarism?

Here's my idea about it:
"If you've written something few days ago or whatever and submitted it. After somedays you again asked to work and write on the same topic. If you'll copy your own previous lines without modifying them, this is actually known as self plagiarism"

It is also prohibited. You should modify even your own words while writing them once again.

I hope you guys got the clear idea about the plagiarism. Thanks for your time you've given for reading it. Don't forget to give it a support. Thank you all. 💗

For their remarkable support and love.

As somebody who has been caught plagiarising before, I'm surprised you didn't use the example from personal experience.

I'm also intruiged by your posts. Why have half of your posts been deleted?

 3 years ago (edited)

I was new and I wasn't aware of all these back then. Now I am. I received a warning, I understand and from then I always tried my best to work as clear as I can. Is that okay?

And if I deleted some of my posts, no one should ask me for that... It's not in the rules and regulations of the steemit. When I find some of my posts useless I have the right to erase them. Haven't I??
Don't be so personal.

No need to get defensive. It was a simple question and an honest answer would have been appreciated to save me the rigmarole of trawling through the blockchain to find out for myself. So do you want to give me an honest answer or do you want it to become personal?

As I told you earlier when I find my post useless I erase it. It's just simple as something could be. Easy for me to explore my own posts. What's so suspicious and special about it???

What's so suspicious and special about it???
Why do you think somebody would find it "suspicious and special"?

You all never leave an oppurtunity to bring shame to us, do you? The comments you edited waseem1255, have you got no shame using foul language and personally attacking people?
